A few kilometers away from Cosenza, there are 2 world-renowned medieval villages: Cleto and Fiumefreddo Bruzio. Cleto is a small medieval village located 200 meters above sea level, in a hilly position, at the foot of Monte Sant'Angelo, from where you can see all the green valley that descends gently to the Tyrrhenian Sea, covered mostly by olive trees. At the top of Cleto dominates an ancient castle. It is the Medieval Castle of Cleto, known as the Savuto Castle. The walk through the centre of Cleto is pleasant, starting from the lower part, from the Church of Consolation to the top, where the castle is located. The tour offers evocative and always exciting scenarios, you can see the contrasts of the roofs of tiles with the green of the valley down to the blue of the sea.

Fiumefreddo Bruzio is nominated as "Borgo dei Borghi". It is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. From its enchanting cliffs, or from the numerous terraces overlooking the sea, the view extends to Sicily, the Aeolian Islands, the Calabrian coast and the mountains of Cilento. Explore the very attractive old centre of Amantea, situated on a hill above the modern town and facing the sea. Off the main tourist trail, Amantea is a nice town to visit for a brief exploration.

Meet our car or minibus at Lamezia Airport or in Paola Train station and travel to the Tyrrhenian coast, the journey won't take long, only half an hour drive, but you can relax and enjoy the view. Upon arrival at Amantea you will meet our local expert guide and start your walking tour of Amantea and its surroundings. Our guide will tell you about the wonderful and millenary history of the city. After the walking tour of the old town stop for the best Gelato in town. It is a must! This tiny bar provide the super Gelato with incredible flavours, once you try you will not forget it!

In the afternoon there will be an excursion to the small village bordering on Amantea, the town of Belmonte Calabro. We will tour the narrow streets of Belmonte to discover its uniqueness. A charming village where time seems to stand still! The village stands on a natural terrace from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea. The guide will lead you around this village to discover its tradition of rural heritage, local crafts and gastronomy. The village has a typically medieval structure that offers particularly charming corners, with houses leaning against each other along narrow streets, noble palaces, medieval arches, hanging gardens. It's been 12,000 years since man accompanied goats around the world. It is with this awareness that this excursion starts entirely developing along the upper valley of the river Fullone, retracing what was once an important route between the Ionian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Starting from the view of the medieval village of San Marco Argentano, we will move at the goat's pace, like an ancient caravan, westwards, along the river axis, among the ruins of ancient medieval mills and hydraulic works, penetrating into a remote area of great naturalistic

interest. The waters of the fullone are the habitat of the otter (mammal at high risk of extinction) that lives only in the presence of pure and clean water. The thick and intricate woods of Mediterranean scrub, holm oak and alder, offer shelter to a varied fauna. The roe deer of Orsomarso, an autochthonous Italian population, which, thanks to important conservation projects in just over twenty years, from the Orsomarso Mountains, has gone as far as the coastal chain. The wolf, magnificent predator, ecological peak, which is now familiar in these woods, which are ecological corridor, which unites the two great ecosystems of Pollino and Sila.

Pick-up time from centrally-located hotels:Our pick-up service takes place in the centre of Cosenza, Paola Train Station. For this reason, pick-up times are shown as an interval. “Starting from 7:30” means that in order to be on time for the beginning of the tour, we will pick up you from your hotel at 7:30 or later.
