Blog 1: Cleopatra Recently, I went on a journey to Egypt. While in Alexandria, a beautiful queen named Cleopatra stole my heart. Unfortunately, though, this caused me to neglect my duties as one of the three leaders of the Roman Empire. I can’t explain it, but I felt like I should focus all of my attention on Cleopatra, instead of Rome. Blog 2: BIG Mistake A few days ago, I had planned to go to war against Caesar.  He waged war against Pompey and belittled me in public, putting me off.  My plan was to meet him at sea and Cleopatra said that she was going to go with me.  I figured she would only be a distraction, but Cleopatra maintained and claimed that her fleet of sixty ships would win the battle.  The day of the battle, Enobarbus described what he saw.  My forces were winning until, all of the sudden, Cleopatra and her ships retreated.  Without thinking, I decided to follow her.  I learned a valuable lesson that day; Adhere to reason above all else.  I wasn’t thinking reasonably at that moment, causing complete humiliation and embarrassment for giving up, and allowing to Caesar to win the battle.

I feel guilty and responsible for the noble Antony’s death. It was I that instigated the fights and the conflicts over land and power. I fear I need power to feel important in this world. And sometimes I think I am the only man on this planet who is capable of running a country. I cannot share the power, I cannot play nice with the other Triumvirs because I know I am the only one who will do the job right! Next time I feel the need to gain more power, I’m going to consult a psychoanalyst to make sure I don’t have a psychological problem and someone really does need to step up and take control.

Yo, I was wondering if maybe you had some room for someone else over at your camp. It’s getting kinda’ crowded in Egypt…Just, you know, text me back with answer… – Enobarbus

Antony came back to Rome a couple of days ago. I think he has finally realized just how displeased I am with him. It only got though his thick skull because I forced him to listen and he couldn’t ignore me like a pocket message. We fought and to compromise our differences, he has agreed to marry my sister. I hope I don’t come to regret this.

My LitspaceCharacter’s Blog #1:My Lord, Caesar, hath told me that I would marry the Great Mark Antony, one of the mightiest triumvirs of the Roman empire. For now, there shall be peace amongst our fellow Roman men; for the wounds are now mended! O, bless my brother, how I love him dearly.

For now, he must depart. Caesar and Antony spoke, binding the trust betwixt them. Caesar feared betrayal, but Antony kept his noble word. My brother hath wished us eternal happiness, promising that I shall hear from him again. O, farewell my dearest brother; for you shall always be in heart.

Character’s Blog #2:It despairs me that Antony hath left me for Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt. O, this feeling of betrayal and utter worthless has seeped through my numb heart. Antony can be with his lover. I shall pardon him since Noble Antony has loved Cleopatra from the start and will forever remain faithful to her. Torn between Cleopatra’s love and peace with Caesar, Antony hath decided to follow his heart. I shall cope with my grievances and accept this. Antony did not truly love me; for his heart hath been in Cleopatra’s hands. O, how I have learned so well! Love cannot be forced upon thyself. OCTAVIA has 8347239472394829 friends.

BLOG: Going to Battle

I went to war alongside my love Mark Antony today. We had hoped to defeat Octavius Caesar so we could finally live in peace. But at the last moment, the fear of battle gripped me and I sent the order to retreat. As I turned, I saw Mark Antony’s shpis following mine. I was shocked, Never had I expected him to follow my surrender.

BLOG: My Life Has Ended

The world is cruel. My Mark Antony has killed himself because of my actions. Why did I mislead him? Why did I toy with his feelings? I should have never talked with Caesar in front of Antony. I should have never sent word that I had taken my life. I will never lie again. My lies and tricks have caused me the one aspect of my life that I held dearest. Now that’s all gone. What horrendous mistakes I have made! What daring liberties I took in telling him those lies! These faults have such immense repercussions. I now face Caesar alone.

Antony

I thank you friend for sticking with me through my travels and for being an honorable man.

Blog23: Our loss against Octavious Caesar at the sea has left me thoroughly confused and upset. I had given him the advice to fight Caesar by land because our army is great at fighting on land, while Caesar’s is more experienced and equipped to battle on land. Antony did not heed my suggestion; instead he listened to Cleopatra, who gave him 60 fleets of ships. When Cleopatra and her ships fled while they were in battle, our once-brave Antony’s ship followed her, leaving the rest of his ships weak, resulting in our loss. This sadly leads me to question our courageous leader’s loyalty to Rome and what is left of his honor. I have learned to not lose yourself in love or passion, as Antony is doing. All his hard work and his honor, is slowly being drained away by Cleopatra. We must learn to love without losing who we are. Blog 22: I have been with Antony in Alexandria for quite a while now. We are enjoying all the pleasantries that Egypt has to offer. I was at a loss when I first saw the Queen of Egypt, the treatment she receives is grand and luxurious. Because Antony is a good friend of Cleopatra’s, we have also been treated royally. We recently went to The Queen’s palace and had an amazing time. We spent the evening drinking and telling jokes. However , it left me confused about Antony’s views of his responsibilities.

My LitspacesRecently my Queen, Cleopatra has fallen in love with Antony, who is from Rome. He has left his place in Rome to come live and be with my queen. But Ceasar, from Rome wishes that Antony returns and helps Rome in its present war. He has left Alexandria, and we have gotten word that he has married Ceasar’s sister, Octavia. My Queen has become very depressed, and has not stopped worrying about her love. This situation has affected her ,and therefore affecting me and her other attendants.

From this experience with Cleopatra and her love, I have seen all the feelings of depression, sadness, and anger that Cleopatra has gone through. I had wished for Cleopatra and Antony to live happily in love. But, since she has found out about his new marriage, things have not been the same around the palace. I have learned a major lesson in life from watching Cleopatra through all of her troubles. I have learned to never become to attached to a man, and never let yourself become dependent on him. She has taught me to think things through before I leaped into making decisions that would very easily turn into disasters later on. She has let herself become so upset that it is getting in the way of her desire to live and her role around the palace. I will never allow myself to get like that over a man or the attention I would be receiving from him.

The soothsayer is a fool! I wonder if what he said about how long we live is even true?

He has gone on rage, Antony my love, has gone on rage against me. What should I do?

O Charmian, where do you think Antony is now, I hope he is well. I am glad he was neither sad nor happy when leaving me with the pearl.

I believe Cleopatra sounds more beautiful than Octavia, I truly hope Antony will come back to Cleopatra, don’t you?

My LitspacesLepidus’s Blog #1: I was enjoying myself today until Octavius felt the need to complain to me. He went on and on about how Antony was abandoning his responsibilities to the triumvir while he was in Egypt. It was so annoying! I defended Antony and

tried to calm Octavius but he still seemed pretty upset about it. They really need to solve their problems soon because the Romans really need great leadership against Pompey right now :-/

Lepidus’s Blog #2: Octavius and Antony finally got together today. I spoke to Enobarbus prior to the meeting and warned him that Antony should use a soft voice with Octavius. They decided that Antony would marry Octavius’ sister so they could get along better. They then agreed to march against Pompey, which is great! Today I learned how two great men solve their difficulties. I am so glad they finally solved their problems and are able to get along! I hope their newly formed bond will last, because the last thing I would want is for the triumvir to fall apart!

Your behaviour on Pompey’s ship last night was very disappointing Lepidus. If you want to be a triumvir of Rome, you should really learn to behave like one. I was embarrassed to even be seen with you and I hope you realize how much of afool you were being.

Octavius

Hey man, thanks for stickin’ up 4 me 2day when Octavius was talkin’ smack. I really appreciate it dawg. Nice 2 know u got my back!

Antony

Lepidus, what was the matter with you earlier? You were acting really weird. If it’s because of Pompey, I understand, it’s stressing me out too. Let’s have lunch tomorrow and talk this over.

Right now, Antony just asked me to kill him. Is he crazy? He told me: “When I did make thee free, swor’st thou not then to do thi bade thee?” I know he is right, but Antony and I are biffles and I cant do it. I won’t do it. The most sensible, reasonable, and honorable thing to do is of course kill myself. He is waiting for me to stab him as I write this. I guess I will just have to stab myself. Peace out, Litspace.

Character’s Blog #1:

Today, Antony decided to stay in Egypt with Cleopatra instead of come back to Rome, where he belongs. All of the guys think he is going crazy, but not I. Antony is my best friend, my master, my captain, and I will not betray his decision. I have learned today that no matter the situation, I will always stand by my buddy Antony. In fact, if Antony were to ask me to kill him right now, I would probably not be able to do it. I would probably just tell him to turn around, and while he is not looking, stab myself! But I doubt that day will ever come.
