LET “US” TAKE CREDIT

A peaceful day in Korea. Give Trump some credit?? Since the division of the Korean peninsula in 1945 by the allied forces, no amount of war, diplomacy or other such effort has been successful in ending the conflict between the North and the South, as intended by the imperial powers1, fate, or God, the soft diplomacy of sport has broken down the barriers in 20182. North Korea has been ready to settle, but only to be compelled to retract, time and again. But, don’t count chickens before they hatch and without knowing what is intended by the imperial powers1, fate3, or God4. Koreans had no role in their destiny, even if they believe in their delusion of the free will (illusion)5, because they don’t and nobody has the free will in this world6. The Six-Party Talks on North Korea’s Nuclear Program, 2003 Onwards7. Former president George W. Bush had included North Korea in the “Axis of Evil” (North Korea, Iran, and Iraq)8 during his 2002 State of the Union address of lies and propaganda against Iraq, while the CIA concluded later that year that Pyongyang was pursuing a uranium enrichment program that violated a 1994 normalization agreement. North Korea admitted its activity and subsequently withdrew from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT), restarting its plutonium enrichment program and forcing the departure of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors. Tensions heightened further in March 2003, when North Korean fighter aircraft intercepted a US spy plane over the Sea of Japan, leading the United States, North Korea, and China to hold trilateral talks in Beijing a month later in a prelude to the first round of Six-Party Talks. The Six-Party Talks launched in August 2003 aimed at ending North Korea’s nuclear program through negotiations involving China, the United States, North and South Korea, Japan, and Russia, was a reversal of Washington’s nonengagement policy with Pyongyang. With several rounds of negotiations, it culminated in a September 2005 agreement in which Pyongyang agreed to abandon its nuclear program, rejoin the NPT, and allow the reentry of IAEA monitors in exchange for food and energy assistance. The accord also paved the way for Pyongyang to normalize

relations with both the United States and Japan and negotiate a peace agreement for the Korean peninsula. Now, the story should have ended here with glory to China. However, just one month later, when the US Treasury Department placed restrictions on Macao-based Banco Delta Asia and forced the Macau government to freeze roughly fifty accounts held by Pyongyang, it all fell apart as intended by US. North Korea stepped up its provocations, testing a long-range rocket and holding its first underground nuclear explosion in the latter half of 2006. Beijing pressed North Korea to rejoin the multilateral framework after the nuclear crisis came to a head. The process gained momentum in the second half of 2007, when Pyongyang began disabling its Yongbyon plant, removing thousands of fuel rods under the guidance of US. Progress continued in mid-2008 after Pyongyang made more concessions, providing US with extensive details of its nuclear program and further dismantling the Yongbyon facility. The Bush administration responded by easing sanctions on the regime and removing it from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list. Now, the story should have ended here with glory to China. By the end of 2008, North Korea was compelled to restart its program and barred nuclear inspectors in an effort to pressure US; which in turn compelled US to push for tougher sanctions. Later, North Korea revealed a vast new uranium enrichment facility to US. In early 2012, under new leader Kim Jong Un, the isolated nation announced that it would suspend nuclear tests and allow international inspectors to monitor the moratorium in exchange for food aid from US, which didn't work.

North Korea's long-range missile launch in late 2012 and another test in early 2013 that defied UN resolutions prompted Russia to prod Pyongyang back to the negotiating table and China to step up its efforts to relaunch the talks, sending its chief nuclear envoy to Pyongyang in early September 2013 and proposing soon thereafter to hold an informal meeting between Six-Party participants. While China and Russia were pushing for the resolution, US's been reluctant to resume negotiations. In February 2018, the 229 cheerleaders are part of a roughly 400-strong delegation of artists, musicians

and 22 athletes sent from the North amid a thaw in cross-border tensions over Pyongyang’s weapons programs; while South Korea saw an opportunity for reconciliation and unity. In March 2018, Kim Jong Un met Xi Peng North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has made his first foreign and a surprise trip to the Chinese capital at Beijing's request, as he felt compelled to personally inform President Xi of the rapid diplomatic developments because China is North Korea’s biggest trade partner with the most leverage on North Korea. Let US take credit for [DELAYING] peace in NORTH/SOUTH KOREA, BUT rest assured that it is LIKE SO MANY OTHERS BEFORE HIM not Trump who decides but the power behind him, US AND THE WEST. But, of course, Trump Should Get Nobel Prize: Trump deserves Nobel Peace Prize, Like Obama Got for Doing Nothing but Prostrating to Suadi King and Killing Qaddafi9.

But, don’t count chickens before they hatch and without knowing what is intended by the imperial powers1, fate3, or God4; Like in Iraq, Syria, Lybia, etc. Proof That North Korea Will Dismantle Its Nuclear Program is a Must for US. Bolton says US considering Libya model with regime change killing Qaddafi throwing the country into chaos for North Korean denuclearization. Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi agreed to abandon his nuclear ambitions in exchange for sanctions relief in the early 2000s. Within years, Gadhafi was overthrown and killed by rebels backed by Washington. Kim Jong Un's days are numbered, like Qaddafi's and Saddam's were and Assad's are!

SLAVERY IN US (EASTERN INDIAN RACISM IN US? LOOK IN THE MIRROR!) We the people of the United States of America (US), in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for US.

Slavery is a never-ending dark chapter in US history, the full horror of which the slaves endure is surprisingly unknown to a majority of US. A lot of US really don’t want to see the reality of slavery. The widespread ignorance in US about slavery is profoundly troubling because American slavery is the key to understanding the complexity of the past of US -

the development of the major political and social institutions of US and a cornerstone of the American prosperity that fueled our industrial revolution (Teaching Hard History - American Slavery)10.

Americans have a hard time talking about the truth even in movies and novels. The highly-praised 12 Years a Slave from the British filmmaker Steve McQueen was based on the published memoir of Solomon Northup, who was kidnapped into slavery in 1841. Northup was a free black man from Saratoga Springs in New York who was stripped of his identity, given a new name and sent to toil on Louisiana’s plantations. The film shows the mistreatment of slaves in all its full horror11, which is contrary to the Hollywood12 presentation of life on plantations, where the slaves were happy, as jovial and in stereotypes such as the Mammy13 or the Uncle Tom , while quentin’s slavery is too flippant14.

However, slavery is not a mere matter of race or economics, but a complex social system which transcends beyond the history and legacy of slavery in US15. The European contact with other continents16, including US17 during the colonial period has had an overwhelming impact. US, a duplicitous and hypercritical society18 founded on Anglo-Saxon HERITAGE and Judeo-Christian principles, talks about a better future with more efficient fuel sources, a safe environment, better

opportunities to improve economic standing19, and maintaining a healthy life so that we may enjoy old age, while burns through natural resources, engineers economic disparities, and works a large majority into a long life of sickness and dependence20. Chicago police records show 128,000 people listed as gang members— African-Americans and Hispanics make up 95 percent of those in the database — and officers are unfairly targeting predominantly minority neighborhoods on the

South and West sides with excessive street stops and arrests. Researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago tested out the impact of the label in a study last year of 65,000 alleged gang members who had been arrested in Chicago. They found troubling results, including that African-Americans and Hispanics made up 96 percent of the group. The following is the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, Montgomery, Alabama, dedicated to victims of lynching. upsetting. US IN - SLAVERY - IN US LOOK IN THE MIRROR, Prof. West, WHILE MARTIN LUTHER KING HONORED ON 5Oth ANNIVERSARY (April 5, 2018)) Cornel West21 should know that Martin Luther King was a champion of nonviolence and justice and a friend of Israel: Dr. King and his heroism and dedication to peaceful protest in the face of hundreds of years of immoral and vile discrimination against African-Americans. He could have easily responded to the injustice of slavery and second-class citizenship that followed with hatred and violence, but instead opened his arms to white Americans and preached love, brotherhood, equality, peace and justice. King also succeeded in Americanizing India’s freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophical principle of satyagraha or “passive nonviolent protest.”

Mahatma Gandhi was a vegetarian like the Brahmins and other INDIANS - Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, etc., who are attacked and demonized by Downtrodden East Indian (Dalit) Christians like professor ilaiah kanche, who is not a Hindu, but a Christian cowherd/shepherd (Golla Tribe, s. The following is a translation of the Telugu exerpts (shown on the left) of blatant demonizing of Hindu Priests, Merchants and Military personnel by Christians in a book released by Cornel West, in the name of “BITING RACISM IN US TOO22” following the traditional Western hypocritical and unrepentant demonization of the Eastern Culture, like the proverbial pot calling the kettle black, never accepting its dark side (Centuries-Old-Game): “There is no racism in the blood23 … there is no racism in birth and death24… there is no racism in water25 (Jeevika Centre for Civil Society) … so, why in the life26? …. This question has been for a long time coming from a lot of reformers to commoners. But, in our society, the disease of racism is not going away. *** In a 2016 survey, Equality Labs27 found that Indians from the Indian Continent come to America with their disease and are hanging to the branches of the tree of racism of the East as if the Western racism was not enough. In America, they are suffering from the same maladies from which they tried to run away. In about 1500 East Indian Americans, the Eastern racism is entrenched and is biting them with vengeance. These 1500 Americans told Equality Labs that they were suffering from the racism and losing a lot in America. Racism in East Indian Americans is rampant. The Downtrodden American Indians grown up in America have been suffering from the racism in America, but for lack of any evidence to prove it, they continue to suffer from the disease without any study. About 390 Downtrodden East Indian Americans were physically attacked and subjected to violence in America. About 300 Downtrodden East Indian Americans were discriminated at workplaces and pushed back. About 600 Downtrodden East

Indian Americans were ridiculed. About 900 Downtrodden East Indian Americans were attacked by weapons of innuendo and libel, and jokes are thrown at them. In American schools, Downtrodden East Indian American children belonging to artisan tribes were ashamed of their heritage and were suffering from the terrible fear of retribution and discrimination if their tribal identity was revealed. About 300 Downtrodden East Indian American children belonging to business tribes of East India also had similar attitudes. If reviewed in totality, says Equality Labs, the differences in cultural practices and racial privileges among these Downtrodden East Indian Americans reached the stars. The survey described that the Downtrodden East Indian Americans were excluded and segregated in America. It was the same in all groups of East Indians. For 8 months, working with various Downtrodden East Indian American racial and tribal groups in America, Thenmozhi Soundararajan (Executive Director) and Maari Zwick-Maitreyi (Research Director)collected data to produce the report. Dr. Cornel West28 released the report.

“The discrimination is rampant in temples. We are Settis belonging to the business class. Ayyangars belonging to priest class look down upon us. We are not really Hindus [viii]. This causes obstructions to our marriages. That is why our parents removed racial identifiers from our names. Still, our suffering continues,” said a person with a name KN. "A lot of people were scared of being discriminated against and call names in schools, and hide their ethnic identities and suffer from it." “A high-class student’s mother told everybody that we believed in Buddhism. All of them moved away from my child. This caused me anger and pain. In the 21st century, America is bitten by racism is biting so intensely, surprisingly,” said the father of student named TR. “Downtrodden East Indian Americans are less financially. About 1/3 of Downtrodden East Indian Americans, about 1/4th of artisans, and business class earn not more than $ 25,000 per year. Among East Indian American Brahmins, only 13% (1/7th) make less than $ 25,000 per year. This income disparity results in discrimination,” the Equality Labs survey opines, “ However, the hopeful information is that 49% Downtrodden East Indian Americans, and 40% East Indian Americans Artisans completed post-graduation, while only 26% East Indian American Brahmins, 35% East Indian American Warriors, and 30% East Indian American Merchants were able to complete post-graduation."29] ANTI-SEMITISM AND ANTI-BRAHMINISM/ANTI-HINDUISM OF CHRISTIAN DOWNTRODDEN EAST INDIANS (DALITS): “When pocchamma’s festivals are celebrated how we dalits [downtrodden] sacrifice and offer what we love to eat. We sacrifice buffalos and sprinkle the blood of the buffalos and cook them and eat them. We also drink toddy [alcoholic bevarage] and sing and dance all night. ... The uncultured brahmins dont even know how to sing and dance properly and they call us uncultured. They offer bananas and coconuts to their gods but our gods need meat.... The barbaric brahmins wants [sic] to prevent us from sacrificing animals. ... They want to kill our culture. ... The Brahmins can go to any extent even change their diet to enjoy their monopoly. World Inequality Report 2018 is the most authoritative and up-to-date account of global trends in inequality. Researched, compiled, and written by a team of the world’s leading economists of inequality, it presents—with unrivaled clarity and depth—information and analysis that will be vital to policymakers and scholars everywhere. Inequality has been at the center stage in public debate as the wealthiest people in most parts of the world have seen their share of the economy soar relative to that of others, many of whom, especially in the West, have experienced stagnation. The resulting political and social pressures have posed harsh new challenges for governments and created a pressing demand for reliable data. The World Inequality Lab at the Paris School of Economics and the University of California, Berkeley, has answered this call by coordinating research into the latest trends in the accumulation and distribution of income and wealth on every continent. This inaugural report analyzes the Lab’s findings, which include data from major countries where information has traditionally been difficult to acquire, such as China, India, and Brazil. Among nations, inequality has been decreasing as traditionally poor countries’ economies have caught up with the West. The report shows, however, that inequality has been steadily deepening within almost every nation, though national trajectories vary, suggesting the importance of institutional and policy frameworks in shaping inequality. World Inequality Report 2018 will be a key document for anyone concerned about one of the most imperative and contentious subjects in contemporary politics and economics. Blatant Discrimination Against Aliens In America The Fifth Amendment's Due Process Clause requires that a penal statute define the criminal offense with sufficient definiteness that ordinary people can understand what conduct is prohibited and in a manner that does not encourage arbitrary and discriminatory enforcement. The Fifth Amendment to US Constitution provides, "No person shall … be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb." This provision, known as the Double Jeopardy Clause, prohibits state and federal governments from prosecuting individuals for the same crime on more than one occasion or imposing more than one punishment for a single offense. Each of the 50 states offers similar protection through its own constitution, statutes, and Common Law. A second prosecution for the same offense after acquittal or conviction or multiple punishments for the same offense. The evil sought to be avoided by prohibiting double jeopardy is double trial and

double conviction. Five policy considerations underpin the double jeopardy doctrine: (1) preventing the government from employing its superior resources to wear down and erroneously convict innocent persons; (2) protecting individuals from the financial, emotional, and social consequences of successive prosecutions; (3) preserving the finality and integrity of criminal proceedings, which would be compromised were the state allowed to arbitrarily ignore unsatisfactory outcomes; (4) restricting prosecutorial discretion over the charging process; and (5) eliminating judicial discretion to impose cumulative punishments that the legislature has not authorized. The Supreme Court of The US (SCOTUS) has established that the right against Double Jeopardy is

not limited to capital crimes or Corporal Punishment, but that it extends to all felonies, misdemeanors, and juvenile-delinquency adjudications, regardless of the applicable punishments. In Benton v. Maryland, 395 U.S. 784, 89 S. Ct.

2056, 23 L. Ed. 2d 707 (1969), the SCOTUS ruled that the federal Double Jeopardy Clause is applicable to state and federal prosecutions. Courts have drawn the distinction between criminal proceedings on the one hand, and civil or administrative proceedings on the other, based on the different purposes served by each. Criminal proceedings are punitive in nature and serve two primary purposes: deterrence and retribution. Civil proceedings are more remedial; their fundamental purpose is to compensate injured persons for any losses incurred. Because civil and criminal remedies fulfill different objectives, a government may provide both for the same offense. The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has developed an internal restriction on pursuing a prosecution after state prosecution has failed. Federal prosecutors under this restriction may only pursue a second prosecution for compelling reasons, and the prosecutor must obtain prior approval from the assistant attorney general prior to bringing the prosecution. This restriction is called the "Petite policy," named after the SCOTUS’ decision in Petite v. United States, 361 U.S. 529, 80 S. Ct. 45, 4 L. Ed. 2d 490 (1960), which involved the prosecution of an individual in two federal district courts for what amounted to the same offense. Although the Petite policy appears in the Department of Justice's manual, criminal defendants may not rely upon this restriction if a federal prosecutor fails to adhere to the department's guidelines. Burglary is defined as unlawful or forcible entry or attempted entry of a residence. This crime usually, but not always, involves theft. The illegal entry may be by force, such as breaking a window or slashing a screen, or maybe without force by entering through an unlocked door or an open window. As long as the person entering has no legal right to be present in the structure a burglary has occurred. Furthermore, the structure need not be the house itself for a burglary to take place; illegal entry of a garage, shed, or any other structure on the premises also constitutes household burglary. If breaking and entering occur in a hotel or vacation residence, it is still classified as a burglary for the household whose member or members were staying there at the time the entry occurred. There are four types of burglary:

• Completed burglary - A form of burglary in which a person who has no legal right to be present in the structure successfully gains entry to a residence, by use of force, or without force.

• Forcible entry - A form of completed burglary in which force is used to gain entry to a residence. Some examples include breaking a window or slashing a screen.

• Unlawful entry without force - A form of completed burglary committed by someone having no legal right to be on the premises, even though no force is used.

• Attempted forcible entry - A form of burglary in which force is used in an attempt to gain entry. The FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program defines burglary as the unlawful entry of a structure to commit a felony or theft. To classify an offense as a burglary, the use of force to gain entry need not have occurred. The UCR Program has three sub-classifications for burglary: forcible entry, unlawful entry where no force is used, and attempted

forcible entry. The UCR definition of “structure” includes an apartment, barn, house trailer or houseboat when used as a permanent dwelling, office, railroad car (but not automobile), stable, and vessel (i.e., ship).

• In 2012, there were an estimated 2,103,787 burglaries, a decrease of 3.7 percent when compared with 2011 data.

• The number of burglaries decreased 5.6 percent when compared with 2008 and was down 2.4 percent when compared with the 2003 estimate.

• The estimated number of burglaries accounted for 23.4 percent of the estimated number of property crimes.

• By subcategory, 59.7 percent of burglaries involved forcible entry, 33.9 percent were unlawful entries, and 6.3 percent were attempted forcible entry.

• Victims of burglary offenses suffered an estimated $4.7 billion in property losses in 2012; overall the average dollar loss per burglary offense was $2,230.

• Burglaries of residential properties accounted for 74.5 percent of all burglary offenses. Burglary statutes will generally contain several options for judges to consider when they create a sentence. Sometimes the statutes will list several distinct sentences (one year, two years or three years, for example) and sometimes they will contain a range of years and judges can pick any amount of time that falls within that range. Statutes could also contain alternative sentences, such as fines. To select the actual sentence, judges will consider these statutory ranges in addition to any aggravating and mitigating factors that might be present in the case. Aggravating factors arethose things surrounding the case that tend to make it a more serious matter, such as the presence of a particularly vulnerable victim or the defendant's leadership role in the crime. Mitigating factors, on the other hand, influence judges to reduce the severity of the sentences they hand down. A defendant's lack of a criminal record and willingness to accept responsibility for the offense are both mitigating factors that will help the defendant argue for a lesser sentence. California state laws establish two types of burglary: first-degree and second-degree. State law defines THE first-degree burglary as any burglary of an inhabited dwelling. During burglary prosecutions, an inhabited dwelling is any house,

vessel, or other property designed for habitation and currently inhabited at the time of the burglary. "Currently inhabited" means that the property was used as a dwelling at the time of the burglary, even if nobody was actually occupying the property then. State law also includes properties abandoned due to a natural disaster or local emergency as currently-inhabited properties. Any burglary not qualifying as the first-degree burglary will proceed as a case of second-degree burglary such as commercial burglary of a business or store. Penalties: First Degree Burglary: Felony punishable by up to six years in county jail and/or a maximum 1,000 fine, probation, restitution to the victims. Second Degree Burglary: Either a misdemeanor up to one year in county jail, and/or maximum fine, probation or felony (depending on the nature of the alleged offense) punishable by up to three years in county jail or state prison, a fine, or both, probation. In November, Secretary of State Colin Powell shook hands with the Iranian foreign minister, Kamal Kharrazi, at the U.N. headquarters in New York City -- a simple yet historic gesture that seemed the most tantalizing hint of rapprochement between the U.S. and Iran since the Islamic revolution and the hostage crisis in 1979. In April 2002, the UN Commission on Human Rights concluded a six-week session in which it assessed the records of the globe's worst human-rights offenders. The Gullahs were originally slaves brought from West Africa, and like all slaves they endured hardship, abuse, and injustice during the period of African slavery in America. Gullah and Geechee are interchangeable words for this unique group of Africans brought from the Rice Coast regions of West Africa to the southern coastal regions of America. The exact origin of the words are unknown but “Lorenzo Turner attributed “Gullah” to Gola, a small tribe on the Sierra Leone-Liberia border. Gullahs also call themselves “Geechee” attributed to the Kissi tribe (pronounced geezee) which inhabits a large area adjoining the Mende, where modern Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea converge.” Gullahs are known for preserving more of their African linguistic and cultural heritage than any other black community in US. The climate of the coastal areas increased the spread of tropical diseases to which the Africans had a resistance and their white masters were extremely vulnerable. White planters eventually moved away from the rice fields leaving a few white managers who were assisted by talented and trusted slaves. Matriarchy, an important aspect of African American life, is a paradigm on the fringes of Western patriarchal emphasis. Western ideology situates men at the head of society, therefore, relegating women to follow their lead. In African cultures the women take an equivalent position inside the home or community to positions assumed by men outside the home. Perceptions of race in the Arab world http://inhouse.lau.edu.lb/bima/papers/Perry.pdfThroughout history the Middle East has been host to a wide variety of nationalities and ethnic Groups. Typically each city in the Middle East until the mid-twentieth century was divided into “quarters” or neighborhoods based on religious and ethnic characteristics. In the Middle East ethnic groups have maintained separate identities not only through religion, language and geographical barriers, but also through daily visible symbols such as occupation, hair styles and clothing. These visible symbols of division have not been eliminated by the globalization process, despite the westernization of dress and other aspects took root and established. In this context Africans were only one ethnic group among many who faced traditional forms of social discrimination. 17 Crossing boundaries: transatlantic readings of sentimental strategies in selected antislavery texts https:// getd.libs.uga.edu/ pdfs/hutchinson_ nicholyn_200212_phd.pdf New lynching memorial evokes terror of victims http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/sns-bc-us--lynching-memorial-20180423-story.html The site includes a memorial to 4,400 black victims of terror lynching in 800 US counties from 1877 through 1950 18 Perception and Complicity in Octavia Butler’s Kindred and J.M. This commodification of enslaved female bodies was justified by hegemonic conceptions of black women’s supposedly inherent lasciviousness which made them available targets of rape. One may say that race ultimately degenders the African American woman as her body is objectified and exploited on the basis of her sex. As social structures still placed the black woman at the bottom of the social hierarchy – doubly oppressed by racism and sexism – it became crucial to revisit slavery as a site of memory and to reveal the interrelatedness between the past and the present. For that reason alone, emancipation is impossible. With strategic sterilization, first the women, but both sexes in time, we could free them from bondage without fear that they'd butcher us in our sleep.

o Clouds: Clouds are further classified into types, kinds, and varieties according to their form and state - water drops or ice crystals. Depending on the synoptical and thermodynamical conditions of precipitation, clouds are further divided into total, shower, and mixed. Clouds mixed as to their genesis are caused by the simultaneous effect of regulated and convection motion, whose input differs depending on the precipitation type. o Fog is an accumulation of the smallest water drops or ice crystals decreasing visibility in and near the surface air layer. There are different types of fogs: fog of cooling, fog of evaporation, radiation fog, advective fog. Radiation fog can be formed when there are no clouds and the land surface is cooled by long-wave heat radiation at night. Advective fog can be formed by the horizontal movement of a relatively warm air mass over a colder air mass lying over the land surface. 2) Surface Water:

• o Oceans • o Inland seas • o Coastal Zones • o Estuaries • o Rivers • o Reservoirs: According to the form of the basin, reservoirs may be subdivided into fluvial, lacustrine, and mixed. Water reservoirs can be split into

permanent or temporary. • o Lakes: dammed lakes: fluvial, valley, coastal; hollow lakes: moraine, karst, thermokarst, deflating, volcanic, tectonic; and lakes of mixed origin. • o Wetlands: Wetlands, bogs, peat bogs, oligotrophic bogs, mires, micro-relief bogs (hilly, flat, or domed), macro-relief bogs (valley, floodplain, slope,

watershed), etc. 3) Ground Water: There are many groundwater classifications relying on different types of groundwater infiltration and distribution, lithological composition, geological age, and on differences in hydrodynamics, temperature, and chemical composition. According to the conditions of their occurrence in rocks, the following types of groundwater are distinguished: free gravitational, in a solid state vaporous, physically bound, chemically bound, and water in a supercritical state. Free gravitational water, filling pores, voids, and fractures in rocks is the most widespread. This water percolates through rocks under a pressure drop. According to their ability to allow water to infiltrate, rocks can be classified as, on the one hand, water-bearing or water-permeable (loams, sandy clays), and, on the other, water-impermeable, or confining strata (clays, compact sandstones, and non-fractured rocks). Here, different types of water-bearing rocks can be distinguished: porous, fractured, fractured–porous, and karsts. Groundwater is also subdivided according to its water exchange capacity. The chemical composition of groundwater includes a mixture of many chemical elements, in the form of different ion types, neutral molecules, organic-mineral complexes, colloids, and isotopes. A complex of climatic, physical-geographical, soil-vegetation, structural-geologic and hydrogeological factors, produces groundwater from both infiltration and condensation. According to its general mineralization, groundwater is usually subdivided into fresh (with up 1 g/l mineralization), saline (from 1 to 25 g mineralization) and brine, with mineralization exceeding 25 g/l (in individual cases up to some hundred g/l). 4) Soil Water: Soil water usually refers to the water localized in soil pore space (i.e. in the surficial part of the land) in the form of liquid moisture (both closely attached to soil skeletal particles and water freely able to move through the soil profile), a solid component in the form of ice in the soil pore space, and gaseous water in the form of soil air. 5) Glaciers: Main types of glaciers: mountainous (flowing down) and covering (spreading). Net-shaped and piedmont types of glaciation are transient between mountainous and covering glaciers 6) Icebergs: There are the following types of icebergs: tabular, domelike, pyramidal, and destroyed. Tabular icebergs have a flat surface because they usually break off shelf glaciers. They may be several kilometers in length and width. They are often found around the Antarctic Continent, but sometimes they form near Greenland and around the ice caps of Arctic Islands. Domelike icebergs mainly come from diffluent glaciers or from ice bluffs; their height is about 70–100 m. Pyramidal icebergs are pyramidal in shape, and destroyed icebergs have an irregular shape, often with several summits. Separation of icebergs sometimes happens as a result of tides. A large iceberg can traverse a great distance, more than 4,000−6,000 km from its place of origin.

7) Ground Ice: Ground ice is a general term used to refer to all types of ice formed in freezing and frozen ground. Ground ice occurs in the pores, cavities, voids, or other openings in soil or rock and includes massive ice. Buried glacier, lake, river, and snow bank ice are all categorized together as a single type of ground ice. Traditionally permafrost is defined on the basis of temperature: soil or rock that remains at or below 0 °C for at least at two consecutive years. 8) Snow Cover: Snow cover is a layer of snow, produced by snowfalls and lying on the land or ice surface. According to its appearance and conditions of formation, snow can be subdivided into newly fallen, compacted (stable) and old (firnified, neve). The density of snow varies from 0.01 g/cm3 for newly fallen to 0.70 g/cm3 for highly wet and then frozen forms. Globally, snow covers an area from 115 to 126 x 106 km2 (about a third of this area is sea ice). Snow reflects solar radiation, and protects soil from overcooling and winter crops from freezing The chemical composition of seawater differs considerably from that of ocean water.

జీవిక Jeevika Development Society; జీవిక Jeevika; Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project - " జీవిక JEEViKA" 26DIVERSITY OF LIFE:

DIVERSITY OF LIFE Taxonomy, in a broad sense the science of classification, but more strictly the classification of living and extinct organisms, i.e., biological classification. The term is derived from the Greek taxis(arrangement) and nomos (law). Taxonomy is, therefore, the methodology and principles of systematic botany and zoologyand sets up arrangements of the kinds of plants and animals in hierarchies of superior and subordinate groups. There are millions of species of organisms living on this TINY earth and many millions of others that lived in the past are now extinct. The Diversity of Life (also called Biological Diversity or Biodiversity) is the variety of living systems. It may refer to extant organisms, but also to their diversity in the past. It usually encompasses multiple levels of biological systems, from the gene level, through the level of populations and species, up to the communities of organisms and the ecosystems to which they belong. Habitat fragmentation and host specialization are two of the major causes explaining the origin of the multiplication of living species in the course of evolutionary history. About 2 million species have been described to date and some 17 000–19 000 new entries are added every year to this list. The number of living species existing on Earth is unknown, current estimates favoring figures in the range of 8–12 million. Scientists and natural philosophers (such as ancient INDIANS ) have recognized that organisms can be organized according to similarities and differences. The most basic difference between organism is the distinction between prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Prokaryotes are the simplest, most primitive kinds of single-celled organisms. They are the bacteria their genetic material in the cell but without a nucleus. Eukaryotes are more advanced organisms. They may be single-celled, like amoebas and paramecia that you may have seen under a microscope in elementary school, or they may be complex, multicellular organisms like humans. Essentially, all living things on Earth besides bacteria are eukaryotes. Eukaryotic cells have a nucleus that contains the DNA in chromosomes. Eukaryotic cells also contain many bodies called organelles that perform specialized functions to aid in energy processing, etc. Eukaryotic cells are larger than prokaryotic cells, though normally also microscopic. The tree of life on the earth is organized from the most general kingdoms down to the most specific level of species and varieties. Kingdoms can be

COLORS OF HUMAN BEINGS: The ancient Vedic scientific analysis of differences in human nature namely sattva, rajas, and tamas, SIMILAR thefour bodily humors that were part of Shakespearean cosmology, inherited from the ancient Greek philosophers Aristotle, Hippocrates, and Galen. In Sanskrit, just like in English, the meaning of any word depends on its context.

• Sattva means white color, shining, wisdom, light, etc. • Rajas means red color, reflecting energy, motion, etc. • Tamas means black color, covering ignorance, darkness, etc.

Based on the three basic natures human beings were categorized into four broad colors namely, white (saatvik- Brahmana), red/brown (raajasik- Kshatriya), yellow (taamasik- Vaisya), and black (taamasik - Shudra) (Mukherji, The Path, The Color Of The Ancient Aryans, September 1894).

BRAHMINS

Brahmin Motto: || Lokaha Samastaha Sukhino Bhavanthu || (May the whole world be happy) || Sarve Jana Sukhino Bhavanthu || (May all people be happy) || Sarva Jeeva Janthu Sukhino Bhavanthu || (May all beings be happy)

"The wisdom of the ancients has been taught by the philosophers of Greece, but also by people called Jews in Syria, and by Brahmins in India." -Megasthenes, Greek Ambassador to Gupta Empire of India (now Afghanistan, Pakistan and Northern India), writing around 300 BC.

DIVERSITY AMONG HUMAN ANIMALS

• There are three major ranks of biological diversity on Earth, at the gene, species and ecosystem level respectively. • Species diversity is fostered mainly by geographical isolation and by strict interspecific relationships such as parasitism, food specialization and plant

pollination by insects. • All animal phyla are represented in the sea and several phyla including echinoderms, ctenophores, and brachiopods are exclusively marine, but only 15%

of all living species described to date inhabit the sea. • Insects represent more than one half of the total species-level biological diversity on Earth. • Key events in the history of life were the Cambrian ‘explosion’ and the invasion of land by plants (Middle Silurian), arthropods (Upper Silurian) and

vertebrates (Upper Devonian). • The history of biological diversity was punctuated by major critical events (mass extinctions) of which the most severe marks the end of the Palaeozoic era. • Recent descriptions of previously unknown species include a few cetaceans and other large animals as well as small animals representing completely new

classes or phyla, such as Loricifera, Ciliophora, and Micrognathozoa. • A sensible approach to estimating the number of existing species is to compare the number of described and undescribed species collected by prolonged

sampling efforts in biologically rich and hitherto less investigated areas. • Global estimates of existing biodiversity range from 5 to 130 million species.

Sequencing the Neanderthal genome [i], the Denisovan genome [ii], and several early modern human genomes from Eurasia[iii] has confirmed that archaic hominins left their mark in the genomes of modern humans[iv]. Present-day individuals in Eurasia inherited ∼2% of their genome from Neanderthals [v], and individuals from Oceania inherited ∼5% of their genome from Denisovans [vi].

Suggestive evidence indicates admixture from other unidentified hominin species occurred in Africa [vii]. A new analysis of teeth found in a Sumatran cave in the 19th century found that they were members of our own species dating back to between 73,000 and 63,000 years ago, the first ever reported fossil evidence that humans colonized the islands of the Indian Continent more than 60,000 years ago [viii]. A fossilized Homo sapiens finger bone discovered by archaeologists working in the Nefud Desert of Saudi Arabia in 2016 is approximately 88,000 years old [ix].

While the earliest known modern human specimens in Europe are about 40,000 to 50,000 years old, dozens of human teeth estimated to be about 80,000 to 120,000 years old recovered from a cave in China’s Hunan would be the oldest Homo sapiens fossils yet found [x]. Anatomically modern humans interbred with Neanderthals and with a related archaic population known as Denisovans, an ancient hominin species long unknown to science and distinct from modern humans and Neanderthals, discovered in a Siberian cave in 2008.

Modern humans adopted innate immune genes responsible for recognizing invading microbes from Neanderthals and Denisovans [xi]. At least two genetically-distinct populations of Denisovans species interbred with Homo sapiens, according to a genomics analysis reported in Cell [xii]. East Asians have a second set of Denisovan ancestry not found in the East Indians (aka South Asians) and Oceanians (Papuans). The ancestors of Oceanians may have interbred with a group of Denisovans in the Indian Continent, while the ancestors of East Asians may have encountered a different group in Asia. As modern humans migrated, they encountered many new environmental conditions, including greater temperature extremes, different pathogens and higher altitudes. These diverse environments are likely to have acted as agents of natural selection and to have led to local adaptations. One of the most celebrated examples in humans is the adaptation of Tibetans to the hypoxic environment of the high-altitude Tibetan plateau. Humans who migrated to Tibet picked up an allele [xiii] controlling blood hemoglobin concentration from local Denisovans, allowing them to adapt to living at high altitudes. Another paper[xiv] indicated that humans had picked up major histocompatibility genes from Denisovans and Neanderthals.

In Mexico City, there are Spanish settlers who built cathedrals atop Aztec ruins; indigenous people from around the Americas, including soldiers who had joined the Spanish cause; Africans, both enslaved and free, some of whom had been among the first conquistadors; Asians and East Indians, who traveled to Mexico on Spanish galleons, some by choice and some in bondage. All these populations met and mingled for the first time in colonial Latin America [xv].

CORNEL WEST SHOULD KNOW THAT Martin Luther King was achampion of nonviolence and justice and a friend of Israel: Dr. King also succeeded in Americanizing India’s freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophical principle of satyagraha or “passive nonviolent protest.” Mahatma Gandhi Was A Vegetarian Like The Brahmins And Other Hindus, Jains, Etc., Who Are Attacked And Demonized Bythe Downtrodden Christians Called Dalits (Meaning "The Downtrodden") Like Professor Ilaiah Kanche, Who Is Not A Hindu, Who Is Christian Cowherd/Shepherd (Golla). [viii] ANTI-SEMITISM AND ANTI-BRAHMINISM OF DOWNTRODDEN EAST INDIANS (DALITS): When pocchamma’s festivals are celebrated how we dalits [downtrodden] sacrifice and offer what we love to eat. DOWNTRODDEN EAST INDIAN (DALIT) CHRISTIANS ARE NOT TAUGHT SEX EDUCATION AT HOME The barriers and enablers to education among scheduled caste and scheduled tribe adolescent girls in northern Karnataka, South India: A qualitative study. International Journal of Educational Development, Volume 49, Pages 262-270 (July 2016).

This qualitative study explored the barriers and enablers to scheduled caste/scheduled tribe (SC/ST: DOWNTRODDEN EAST INDIANS (DALITS)) adolescent girls entering into, and completing secondary education in northern Karnataka, South India. Multiple barriers were identified to disadvantaged caste adolescent girls’ entry into and retention in education in this setting, and these operated at the individual, family, community and school levels. In addition, some enablers to education were also described. The study highlights the importance of involving multiple stakeholders to overcome the barriers to education for DALIT girls, and of working to change beliefs and expectations around gender norms as well as improving the quality of education in this setting. ... There was also a belief that there is no value in educating girls because even if a girl were educated, there would be no livelihood opportunities for her other than farming and manual labor, especially girls from Dalit castes. ... The fear that sending girls to school could ruin a girl’s and her family’s reputation, emerged strongly from the interviews, particularly with Dalit parents. Many parents described a strong sense of fear that after a girl reaches puberty, she might engage in ‘love affairs’ with someone on her way to or whilst at school, and engage in behaviors deemed inappropriate within the cultural context, which could ruin her marriage prospects and the families’ reputation within the Dalit community. . .. The Department of Social Welfare in Karnataka provides a number of schemes to Dalit communities to support school attendance, including the provision of scholarships, uniforms, books, bags, pens, and bicycles. All adolescent girls and nearly all parents were aware of the government schemes available. ... Child marriage is a common practice in this Dalit community. Many of the adolescent girls had friends who were already married and a few were married themselves or were engaged to be married. One girl attending school noted that she knew of seven to nine child marriages which had taken place that year and all of those girls had stopped attending school. Despite child marriage being illegal in north Karnataka, they were still taking place.... In some cases, girls were interested in studying but there was a lack of support from family members to continue education. Lack of support was sometimes related to the fear of engaging in love affairs, physical abuse from the girl’s father. . . . Another interpersonal factor that influenced whether a girl stayed or dropped out of school was the influence of peers. Most of the adolescent girls stated that they did not know anyone who had obtained higher education (Pre-University Course-11th and 12th standard). ... Relationships between boys and girls and curiosity over boys are taboo and the consequences are severe. In addition, a lack of sex education in these Dalit communities does not help in addressing these changes during puberty, the tensions between boys and girls during this period, or address the power imbalances that frame them.

• This qualitative study found that scheduled caste/scheduled tribe adolescent girls faced numerous barriers to education at macro and micro levels. • The main macro level barriers to education included the belief that a girl should stop schooling after reaching puberty, fear of a girl’s reputation being

ruined (for example en route to or at school), and lack of a supportive school environment. • The main micro level barriers to education included the influence of peers in dropping out of school as well as a girl not valuing education herself. • Enablers to education were also identified and included a supportive school and family environment, and positive peer role models. • The study highlights the importance of involving multiple stakeholders to overcome the barriers to education, and working to change beliefs and

expectations around adolescent girls in this setting.

Sex Education to a Girl Child

In order to accelerate welfare and nutrition programs for women and children in tribal, hilly, and backward areas of India, the government of India has accepted the National Program of Integrated Services. . . . Pregnant and nursing mothers belonging to families of landless agricultural laborers, of marginal farmers, of the scheduled caste, of the scheduled tribe, and of poorer sections of the community are chosen for this program. Special care is given to pregnant women who: are pregnant for the 1st, 3rd, or 4th time; have gained less than 6 kg; are younger than 18 or older than 35; have had frequent or twin pregnancies; have a history of miscarriage or preterm delivery; are anemic; or have a history of edema, hypertension, or seizure. Personnel, who are monitored, receive training supplemented by reorientation and continuing education. “Health divide” between indigenous and non-indigenous populations in Kerala, India: Population-based study Parent-Child Communication about Sex Varies by Race/Ethnicity and Gender, But Parents Are An Important Source of Sexual Health Information for All Youth.

• Data has shown that 42 percent of Latino adolescents reported learning “a lot” about sexual health issues from their parents compared to 37 percent for white adolescents, but less than 60% of African American adolescents[Hoff T, Greene L, Davis J. National Survey of Adolescents and Young Adults: Sexual Health Knowledge, Attitudes, and Experiences. Menlo Park, CA: Henry Kaiser Foundation. 2003:55].

• In one study, African American female adolescents reported more discussions about sex-related topics with their mothers than did male adolescents. However, males were just as likely to talk with mothers as with friends and only slightly less likely to talk with fathers [DiLorio C et al. Communication about sexual issues: mothers, fathers and friends. J Adolesc Health 1999;24:181-9].

• In another study of African American and Latino adolescents, a significantly greater percentage of Latino teens than African American teens reported discussing at least two sex-related topics—HIV/AIDS and choosing a sex partner—with their father. Latino teens were also twice as likely as African American teens to discuss choosing a sex partner with their mothers [Miller KS et al. Family communication about sex: what are parents saying and are their adolescents listening? Fam Plann Perspect1998;30:218-22+].

• Research shows that parents are the preferred source of information about contraception: 19.2 percent of students said they would prefer to get information about contraception from their parents rather than from community health centers, classes, hospitals, private doctors, television, or friends (12.5, 12.0, 11.1, 8.8, 7.9, and 6.9 percent, respectively) [Hacker KA et al. Listening to youth: teen perspectives on pregnancy prevention. J Adolesc Health 2000;26:279-88].
