Lest We Forget...
.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.
By giving a small donation your
child will receive a poppy.
Parents can join us for our Remembrance Day assembly on Tues. Nov.10th at 10:45 am
Parent/teacher interviews will be held
next month. Report cards will be sent
home on Friday Nov 27th. This is a great
opportunity for parents to meet with their
child’s teacher and discuss questions &
concerns or simply utilizing this 10-15 mi-
nute block to get to know one another.
Book your time as limited spaces are
available. Also, please specify if you need
to meet with more than 1 teacher. Con-
tact Mme Peddie at 780-532-7429 or
[email protected] to make
your appointments.
*Teachers with multiple students or homerooms will
be allocated a 10 min. time slot for their interviews.
This will allow time to see all of their students.
Preschool Mme Tina Girard is also booking for Preschool
students. Her parent/teacher interview time
slots will be for 10 mins therefore please en-
sure that you are on time and keep your visit
within your time allocated.
All visitors must sign
in when entering the school or the portables during regular school hours. We have a limited supply of visitor passes. Re-minder to parents to please return your pass when you sign out. Replacement badges are very costly therefore we would appreci-ate if all parents & visitors would ensure the return of these passes daily!

As in previous years, we will once again be offering our After-School Learning Support Centre, beginning Tuesday, November 17thth for students in grade 1 to 4. The center will be operational on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thurs-
days from 3:20 – 4:20 p.m. The goal of the center is to suppor t students that may require additional suppor t to complete their homework or their home reading. As many parents of FI students are not bilingual, the centre offers
students an opportunity to receive homework support in their language of instruction. Students may attend on a drop-in basis as the need arises. It is NOT meant to be a one-to-one tutoring service. This service is offered FREE OF
CHARGE and will be under the direction and supervision of M. Houssni Lhaloui, our French monitor.
Students are expected to arrive with their homework (home reading books, content-area homework). Once the home-work is complete, students will have the opportunity to read different books. Please note that pick-up time is at 4:20 p.m. sharp. If you are not there to pick up your child at the specified time, your child may risk losing the privi-
lege of attending the after-school learning support. On the afternoons that you wish to have your child attend the after-school learning support centre, please indicate it in your child’s agenda. Only the students with a note from their parents will be allowed to attend the after-school learn-ing support centre. NO STUDENTS will be allowed to call home after school to make arrangements to attend
without prior permission. The center will be located in the school library.
If you have questions regarding the after-school learning support centre, please contact Mrs. Andrea Couture, Vice-Principal, at 780-532-7429 ext. 1402 or email [email protected].
