As in previous years, we will once again be offering our After-School Learning Support Centre, beginning Tuesday, November 17thth for students in grade 1 to 4. The center will be operational on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thurs-

days from 3:20 – 4:20 p.m. The goal of the center is to suppor t students that may require additional suppor t to complete their homework or their home reading. As many parents of FI students are not bilingual, the centre offers

students an opportunity to receive homework support in their language of instruction. Students may attend on a drop-in basis as the need arises. It is NOT meant to be a one-to-one tutoring service. This service is offered FREE OF

CHARGE and will be under the direction and supervision of M. Houssni Lhaloui, our French monitor.

Students are expected to arrive with their homework (home reading books, content-area homework). Once the home-work is complete, students will have the opportunity to read different books. Please note that pick-up time is at 4:20 p.m. sharp. If you are not there to pick up your child at the specified time, your child may risk losing the privi-

lege of attending the after-school learning support. On the afternoons that you wish to have your child attend the after-school learning support centre, please indicate it in your child’s agenda. Only the students with a note from their parents will be allowed to attend the after-school learn-ing support centre. NO STUDENTS will be allowed to call home after school to make arrangements to attend

without prior permission. The center will be located in the school library.

If you have questions regarding the after-school learning support centre, please contact Mrs. Andrea Couture, Vice-Principal, at 780-532-7429 ext. 1402 or email [email protected].
