TRANSCRIPT
Join Buffalo-area activists and Mark Brenner from Labor Notes for a discussion on How to Jump-Start Your Union: Lessons from the Chicago Teachers.
In 2012, the Chicago Teachers Union built an inspiring coalition with parents, students, and community members to fight for the “Schools Chicago Students Deserve.” Their week-long strike made national headlines and inspired union members across the country to aim higher. Labor Notes authors were there to document the strike and its lessons for union members around the country. Come hear the story and talk about other recent examples of unions who are organizing to put the movement back in the labor movement—including here in Buffalo!
For questions or to RSVP call Dan at (718) 284-4144 or email [email protected]
