Elicit various response form them and write them on the board and drill. Recap on the previous lesson, asking students to call out target language. Introduce the new topic. Ask students what the rules of the class are. T-S 4 min 2 Presentat ion Begin PPT. Show students how to construct the target sentence. Explain the difference between must and should. Explain that must is like an order, have to obligation, and should is like giving advice. Show them various examples on the PPT and ask them to repeat. T-S 6 mins 3 Controlle d Practice Worksheet. Instruct the students to work in pairs to fill in the blanks with either should/shouldn’t/must/mustn’t. When the task is complete talk through the answers as a group, encouraging the students to call out the answers S-S 10 mins 4 Productio n Practicing the modal “must” Ask the students to get into groups of four. Give them each an A3 piece of paper and a place such as school/movie theatre/beach/swimming pool. They must make a poster and write 5 things they must and mustn’t do in these places. When the task is complete ask the groups to feed back to the rest of the class. S-S 15 mins 5 Free practice Pair work. Practicing modal “should/shouldn’t”. Ask the student to work in pairs. Show them a number of problems on the PPT. Ask them to work in pairs giving advice to their partner on the problems. Each S-S 10 mins
