Activity: Run to the Board
Activity Description:
Break the class up into 2 to 4 teams. Line them up facing the board. Tape pictures, draw or write the target language words on the board. Say something corresponding to a picture, drawing or word on the board. Get the first students from each line to try and touch the corresponding picture. Whoever does so first gets a point for their team.
Ex: “Say park” . The first person to touch the picture of the park gets a point for their team. You can play this as an association game as well. When you say, buying groceries the
students have to touch the picture of the location where you can do so, supermarket.
