Lesson #3 A: To begin the lesson, students will listen to another podcast reviewing the lesson from the previous day and having an introduction to todays lesson. This lesson is focused on line plot. The podcast will give them information that they can record in their notebook. S: My students will be able to distinguish and identify the parts of a line plot graph by listening to the podcast, engaging in group discussion, conducting an experiment, and then creating a line plot to display their findings. The experiment and display will be a part of their storytelling video as they explain their methods. This will be completed by the end of the sixth day with 95% accuracy S: The technology that will be used throughout this lesson will be the cameras, I-pads, computer, and Smart board. U: Prep time will be given to the students to allow them to come up with an experiment and plan for what they are going to do for their video. The daily podcast will be set up already for when the students walk into class in the morning. R: Students will be using the storytelling tool to document and present the findings from the student’s research. Each student will be placed in a group, this group will create a questionnaire and go around the school and ask the question. There will be plenty of opportunities for students to be involved in classroom participation. There will be group discussion and a lesson at the beginning that goes off of the podcast, students will share their ideas in their group, and then at the end of the day students may post on the classroom page their projects or questions they have.
