Navigating in a Word Document Insertion point (or cursor)
Navigation methods:
Mouse
Scroll Bar
Scroll Bar navigation does not move the insertion point
Keyboard

Navigating with the Scroll Bar
Scroll up line by line
Clicking in the open part moves you up or down
Scroll down line by line
Page up
Page down

Navigating with the Keyboard Keyboard navigation moves the insertion point
Arrow keys navigate one space or line at a time
[Page Up] and [Page Down] keys
[Home] and [End] go to the start or finish of a line
[Ctrl]+[Home] and [Ctrl]+[End] go to the start or finish of the document
Closing Documents Close by clicking the File tab
Choose Close from the menu
Word will prompt you to save your file

Starting a New Blank Document Start by clicking the File tab
Choose the New command for a blank document
[Ctrl]+[N] is the new document shortcut

Getting Help in Word 2010 Click the Help button
in the upper-rightcorner
Use the Table of Contents to browse topics
Use search to look for a topic
Exiting from Word Click the File tab and select the Exit button
You can also use the Close button on the upper-right corner of the Word window
Save before shutting down your computer!
You will be prompted to save if you have not done so
