BACKGROUNDLocated in the heart of France’s Auvergne region, the Les Volcans nursery school opens its doors to a growing number of children every year. Extension work was carried out on the cafeteria to improve dining conditions for the school’s children. The sleep room adjoins the cafeteria, so a high-performance acoustic correction solution was required to line the extension while improving comfort and well-being for all users (children, teaching staff, etc.).

Plafometal suggested its new wall acoustic solution to absorb the noise generated at lunch-times. The rug-ged wall panels reduce sound levels while offering a stylish, modern design capable of withstanding the knocks and impacts of everyday life!

OUR RESPONSE In busy premises, it is essential to prioritize comfor-table living conditions for occupants.

With this type of facility, several needs must be ad-dressed, such as acoustic correction, a sleek design, impact resistance and easy maintenance and care.

Plafometal offers a solution that satisfies these many requirements: Acoustiroc® is a wall-mounted solution comprising perforated painted metal panels lined with an acoustic fleece and mineral wool, inserted into an alu-minum frame. The metal coating ensures the product’s long service life and easy cleaning.

Acoustiroc® paves the way for new architectural de-signs. In this case, the Orion perforation was chosen for its original and creative appearance (round, irregular perforations).

Lastly, the new Acoustiroc® system is marketed in kit format to allow for simple ordering and easy installation.
