God sends the Holy Spirit to shine on us

Let us raise our voices in prayer…
Cantor: select 5-6 of these; chant a cappella
We celebrate the season of salvation;
May we be renewed in hope and strengthened in love,
hear us, O God… O God, hear us, hear our prayer.
As Jesus fasted and prayed,
So may our lives be transformed by our spirit of repentance,
hear us, O God… O God, hear us, hear our prayer.
By his death, Jesus revealed the way to salvation.
May all people come to know the way of God,
hear us, O God… O God, hear us, hear our prayer.
God called us to be a people in Christ.
For peace and unity among nations,
hear us, O God… O God, hear us, hear our prayer.
Christ came as a revelation of the Holy One.
May our lives reveal the presence of God to all we meet,
hear us, O God… O God, hear us, hear our prayer.
Teach us to love and care for the sick.
In your compassion bring them hope and raise them up,
hear us, O God… O God, hear us, hear our prayer.
May the dead rise to glory in your peace.
Grant them a share in your kingdom,
hear us, O God… O God, hear us, hear our prayer.
Help us to do what is good, right and true in your sight,
and to seek you always with undivided hearts,
hear us, O God… O God, hear us, hear our prayer.
