The Lenape II Solar project will consist of 15,516 - 305 watt Hanwha SolarOne modules, 5 - 800 kW SMA inverters and 5 - 1000 kVA MV step-up transformers, in addition to AC collection and protection equipment. The Lenape II Solar PV generating asset is expected to generate more than 6,400 MWh in its first year of operation. Solar Lenape II Case Study Lenape II Indianapolis, Indiana / Case Study

Blue Earth Solar acquired the 4.7 MWdc Lenape II Solar Project as a mid-stage project acquisition in 2014. At the time, the project faced many development and permitting obstacles. Blue Earth Solar’s experienced in-house development team guided the project through those challenges and ultimately brought the Lenape II project to a financeable state, ready for construction permitting.

As the project was entering the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) phase of the project life cycle, it was sold to a long term owner-operator of this solar generation asset.

Construction began in April 2015. The project is approximately 75 percent com-plete as of mid-June 2015 and has an anticipated COD date of 8/31/15. The 4.732 MWdc Lenape II solar project consists of a 2.031 MWdc AET rooft op system and a 2.701 MWdc Sky canopy system. Hosted at a former shopping mall and covering approximately 25 acres, this unique project will interconnect to the Indianapolis Power & Light (IPL) distribution grid at 13.2 kV and sell the solar energy produced to IPL under a 15 year PPA.

The Lenape II Solar project will consist of 15,516 - 305 watt Hanwha SolarOne modules, 5 - 800 kW SMA inverters and 5 - 1000 kVA MV step-up transformers, in addition to AC collection and protection equipment.
