All the retreat packages include at least one of the holistic treatments of the client’s choice. The Healing Hut ensures to understand their client’s needs and preferences well in advance of their stay, hence all bookings are done over the phone so the client can inform the Hut on anything and everything of importance regarding their upcoming treatment.

Some of the additional treatments offered by the Healing Hut include hot stone massages with essential oils, which use the heat of the stone to penetrate deep into the muscle tissue to allow them to relax 5x as quickly compared to a regular massage. Aromatherapy massages, Swedish massages and Remedial massages are also

available, as well as Indian head massages which target tension, headaches, eyestrain, insomnia and other conditions. Other highly sought after services include Crystal healing, hopi ear candles and reflexology.

Hopi ear candles are an especially effective technique which is both relaxing and pain free and works to reduce pressure in the ears and sinuses. It is particularly popular among those suffering from tinnitus, vertigo, migraines and headaches and other such conditions.

If you would like to experience this luxurious but cost-effective stress relieving retreat, or to find out more information, then get in touch with the details below.

Wedding Photography News

In 1996 sclphotography was launched and founder and owner Selwyn Leacock hasn’t looked back since. The talented innovator has much experience within this media-related field and has successfully fine-tuned his services to become a respectable and dependable photographer with a particular penchant for wedding cinematography.

“I would say that the main role of my enterprise relates to the provision of a trusted photographic service that is delivered to the highest standard possible,” Selwyn explained to our team here at Leisure Solutions. “Much of my work does relate to wedding photography and events, so my core specialism is photographing social occasions, parties, portraits and of course, weddings. “What I can offer to my clients is a full

day of coverage which will result in an unlimited amount of photos to be uploaded within an album. This is made possible with the use of a flash drive/DVD and album and because of my specialty it is safe to say that most of my customer base comprises future brides.”

Selwyn operates from his base in Rainham in Essex but is more than happy to commute from his home town; travelling across the country to attend different occasions and capture important and special moments with great attentiveness and care.

This largely relates to creative wedding services and his unique adaptation of wedding photography and compilation of treasured photo albums.

When asked to discuss his motivation in more detail, Selwyn said: “The company scl photography was established about 20 years ago by myself and I was inspired to do so after a long standing interest in the art of taking photos.

I was very keen on photography while I was growing up and so decided to set up my own business offering my services in camera work at various events.

“There haven’t been any significant changes to the organisation in recent times as such but I am anticipating substantial development in the future.

Looking forward I aim to expand further by incorporating more videoing services within the packages available whilst maintaining my good reputation – clients are very happy with the photos that I produce and the albums that I provide.”

If you would like to enquire about hiring this approachable and highly skilled photographer then please don’t hesitate to call or email Selwyn at your earliest convenience. When it comes to capturing your most cherished memories then you need to employ a specialist that you can trust.

With scl photography you can remain confident that your big day will be effectively documented and that you will receive a comprehensive album logging the most important movements taking place over the course of the event with a selection of visually stunning pictures.

Please feel free to visit the website provided below as this will grant you access to a simply sensational portfolio of wedding images – all you have to do is browse the albums online and this will give you valuable insight into just how remarkable Selwyn’s work truly is.

Soul Kinda Wonderful is a lively, fun-loving music act that was formed more than 10 years ago. The group enjoy performing and celebrating music of the golden era, specifically the genres of soul and motown, and have sung some of the industry’s greats as a result (including popular classics by artists such as B E King, The Temptations, The Drifters and The Four Tops). The success of this brilliant band can be further emphasised with their recent acquisition of the

The combination of distinct vocals and well executed dance moves captures the true essence of Soul and Motown magic, and Richie and his team ensure to delight crowds with much-loved songs that never fail to get the audience moving. They cover

catchy hits such as ‘Saturday Night At The Movies’, ‘Under The Boardwalk’, ‘My Girl’, ‘Stand By Me’, ‘Save The Last Dance For Me’, ‘I Can’t Help Myself’, ‘Build Me Up Buttercup’ and ‘Come On Over To My Place’. Me to You Hampers is a contemporary company that was established in October 2016 by founder Saima Iram. Her business, which is based in Oldbury, revolves around the creation of cute hampers and fun-filled gift packages suitable for all occasions.

It started out as a hobby; Saima was originally involved with the arrangement of hampers specially made for family and friends, and when she realised just how well the gifts were received, she decided to take it to the next level by building her own brand centred on these carefully compiled baskets of treats.

The hampers are available from a minimum of £15, and they can contain an array of items; this

includes everything from jewellery and perfume to children’s toys and fruit. The contents can be tailored as appropriate and Saima is happy to accommodate specific requests.

“I believe my hampers are perfect for anyone who doesn’t have the time or isn’t sure what to put in their own hamper,” Saima said. “Hampers are unique and make the clients happy as its not just one present but loads of different ones put together.”

As well as hampers, Me to You also provides fancy dress costumes and party supplies for all occasions.

IRENE – ‘BEAUTY FROM WITHIN’When it comes to Royal Jelly – Nothing else compares

Irene Stein is not your average 77 year old. She is fit, healthy, energetic and, when not working on her business, she is out playing a game of tennis or two and enjoying life to the fullest. Not only this, her flawless complexion has many second guessing her age and not an inch of grey can be found in her full head of hair. Even more interesting is the photo of her mother at 82 years who also managed to get rid of her Arthritis by taking the Formula. Is this not impressive!

This miraculous formulation, created by Irene herself in conjunction with a Master in Complex Homeopathy and another Master in plant/herbal knowledge, is an excellent blend of Royal Jelly which is naturally preserved in honey with Ginseng, Echinacea and herbs and has been used in the treatment of at least 75 different health conditions. From allergies, digestive problems, diabetes, menopause and migraines right through to heart conditions, blood pressure, cancer, chemotherapy and prostate problems, Royal Jelly can significantly reduce symptoms and in many cases eliminate the condition completely.

Irene’s first encounter with Royal Jelly was when she was around 40 years of age. After suffering from a retroverted uterus which was causing her a great deal of pain, Irene went through a hysterectomy. She was advised that she would need to take hormone replacement tablets and would go into early menopause. As well as the inevitable hot flushes, night sweats and other hormonal imbalance symptoms she was also advised she would be out of action for at least 6 months.

Strong willed and determined to avoid medication; Irene refused to take the tablets and instead took Royal Jelly. Astonishingly, she did not go into early menopause and instead made a full recovery and was back at her desk just one week later!

Not only did this incredible formula

relieve Irene of her symptoms, it completely removed her migraines – from which she had suffered from at an early age – and dramatically improved her immune system, meaning she never suffers from coughs, colds or flu.

“I was born to a mother ahead of her time and brought up on black molasses, cider vinegar, and told about the importance of breathing” Irene comments, “These early introductions worked for me and became my own belief, and when I discovered Royal Jelly in 1974 through a Greek Bee Keeper, my mother knew all about it, even though it wasn’t readily available.

“I think it is true to say that I don’t actually resemble my 77 years. Things like memory, retention, absorption, clarity, focus, agility, and I still seem to be firing on all cylinders. During the early part of my experiences with Royal Jelly, I was fascinated by the way in which my mother’s arthritis disappeared completely in her late 70’s and I watched her greying hair turned back to its natural colour.

“Incidentally, my tennis is getting better and better. I am amazed how I am able to outplay players that I believe are much stronger than myself. I am also amazed that many

younger tennis partners are puffing and blowing by the time that we finish and I’ve still got energy to go on!”

Around 30,000 people worldwide have incorporated Royal Jelly into their daily diet including professional athletes, showbiz celebrities and members of the British Royal Family with famous faces including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Phillip, Princess Diana and Cliff Richard.

Irene’s formula is 10 times more potent than Royal Jelly in other forms, thanks to the homeopathic potentisation Echinacea and other herbs. Ingredients such as amino acid and glutamic acid are known to delay aging, while the pantothenic acid helps to prevent premature grey. In addition, elements such as inositol, lysine, phosphorus, silicon and sulphur are responsible for maintaining the skin, nails and hair, leaving them in peak condition and the ginseng, iron, thiamine (B1) and cyanocobalamin (Vit B12) provide an abundant source of natural energy.

“In the 40+ years, I have been involved with this remarkable substance and my unique formulation,” explained Irene, “There have never been harmful side-effects or contra-indications in any way, shape or form, including diabetics who are actually able to lower their units of insulin they take. Many people who believe they are allergic to Ginseng or any other ingredient, find that does not apply to this formulation. I also give it to babies before birth.

“I have as many people making

this a-way-of-life as taking it just for a specific condition, since it is cumulative and there are many on-going benefits. I have always had a number of Practitioners sharing my vision and recommending the product to their patients as well as the biggest growth being the recommendation from 1 person to another.”

“From this amazing learning experience,” she concluded, “I still continue to astonish myself with the results that I see and hear about. I am still passionate and thrilled to bits with the way in which my unique formulation changes peoples’ lives, and have no intention of retiring. Why would I give up my magnificent obsession!”

irene believes royal Jelly is something that needs to be discussed before use, and therefore does not feel it should be sitting on the shelves of supermarkets. She is more than happy to provide more information to those who are interested and discuss their conditions and needs to provide the best plan to suit them. contact irene now on: +44 (0)7831 641199, email: [email protected] or visit the website at: www.irenesteinrj.com

The Reel Poster Gallery is the creation of Bruce Merchant, who owns and manages the business today.

Originally trained as a sculptor, Bruce started collecting in the late 1980s dealing with a handful of private clients. As many collectors start out, he never thought he’d deal. Within a year or two, however, he’d amassed a volume of posters and the business of selling began. Collecting is very addictive and emotionally driven. Bruce bought what he liked, either for the film title, or more often for the design merits of the poster itself.

Bruce founded The Reel Poster Gallery in 1991.

Prior to this date, he had always seen the market potential at major auctions like Christies and Sotheby’s, notably he observed the kinds of audience that these sales were attracting. Historically, the market was very US led and to lesser extent French & Italian. Within a few years, Bruce and The Gallery had put London on the map for serious collectors and film aficionados.

Over this period, the gallery has been responsible for a dozen publications on film posters and related subjects – with over a million copies sold worldwide. Due to this success, Taschen bought the rights to The Gallery’s ‘Decades’ series, however Bruce also produced 500 hardback limited editions, a handful of which remain available to purchase today.

After 20 years of establishing itself as a world leading destination for original posters, Bruce realized the majority of his loyal client base no longer needed to view before buying and were more than happy to buy on our recommendation or simply from a gallery catalogue. Therefore, we now operate by appointment only with a fantastic new website to support our activities.

Jane Ronie GLASS is a contemporary business specialising in the manufacture and supply of beautifully crafted glass products. The highly creative Jane had been involved with the process of working with kiln-formed glass for a number of years and so made the informed decision to set up her own production company focused on this specific art form.

What makes this technique particularly exciting is that every piece created comes out different to the one before, meaning those looking to source a stunning glass-based product can delight in the fact that with Jane Ronie GLASS the item they choose will be unique in its design.

The organisation can provide exquisite tableware, impressive wall art, stunning wall panels and striking LED wall panels. Jane enjoys experimenting with her art and in doing

so, pushes boundaries by mixing glass with other materials (such as wood, mirror and LED lights) to embrace different textures and achieve new effects.

The modernised wall panels enable the glass to ‘come alive’, in essence, as light bounces off the contours of the design and the depth of the colours alters its appearance. The panels, which are fitted to the wall using a single point mounting system, can be enhanced further with a mirror and standoff, which creates a magnificent 3D effect.

With a particular passion for horses, Wend is inspired by the their natural freedom, power and emotion and the close, genuine relationship between horse and owner. Equine portraits and studies are a particular speciality for Wend.

Based in Leigh Sinton, near Malvern, Wend offers a number of services. In addition to selling her own artwork, she can work on commissioned paintings and even offers a photo shoot of the owner’s animal as part of her package. She can also recreate treasured photographs in pastels, a skill particularly popular with owners whose pets have passed on.

In the last two months, Wend has been asked twice to attend Countrywide Stores for their Pet Event and Equine Event. She also attended the Pony Club team show jumping event where she got yet more inspiration for her next range of art pieces.

Currently, Wend is preparing to attend the Worcestershire Open Studios on 26-28th August. If you would like to get in contact with Wend or would like to buy a painting or commission your own, please see the information below.

Bruce was originally a sculptor yet his love of posters enabled him to accrue quite a selection in the late 80s. The impressively vast collection continued to grow, and so getting involved with the trading of these items became a logical business move – hence the establishment of the Film Reel Poster Gallery.

Although a film enthusiast, Bruce became accustomed to appreciating posters based on design quality and the effect of its imagery. Having developed a keen eye for creativity, Bruce found himself investing in posters for films that he hadn’t even seen before – simply because of the calibre of the advertisements.

The posters available from the Reel Poster Gallery are kept in tip-top condition and have been expertly maintained for the purpose of collector use and interior enhancement. In line with this philosophy, the company is proud to offer services such as poster restoration, linen backing, framing and hanging.

It is this caring and patient approach that has attracted clients from across the globe. In fact, because of its statistical accomplishment, having sold more than a million posters worldwide, the organisation has secured status as one of the best poster collectors and sellers in the whole of the UK.

The products have been praised by many important institutions and high profile figures, and have been displayed at many a coveted showcase, with the Design Museum for a Saul Bass exhibition and the V&As Grace Kelly exhibition being key examples. Bruce has managed to source many rare original film posters in his time, and foreign posters are also included in the collection, so different tastes are catered for.

Whether you are a film fan, avid collector or are simply looking for a perfect gift for that special someone, the Film Reel Poster Gallery is a great resource that simply must be explored. Chippy Toys was established more than 25 years ago by Don Davidson, owner and model enthusiast who was inspired to do so after attending a car boot. Visiting the jumble sale reignited Don’s love for toys after he discovered one of his much loved Dinky models, and this find prompted the collector into locating the whole Dinky selection.

The result was an extensive array of toys gathered following the attendance of a great deal of car boot sales, auctions and fairs. The quantity was so high that Don decided to sell the products on to other dedicated collectors – hence the creation of Chippy Toys.

Don’s activities centre on the sale and purchasing of old toys, particularly obsolete die-cast vehicles (brands include Dinky, Corgi, Spot-On and similar) and tin-plate, lead soldiers and farm animals. Because of the success experienced over the years, Chippy Toys has progressed to become a business arranging its very own toy fairs in Oxfordshire.

Showcasing toys from various exhibitors, the Collectors Toy & Train Fairs are run four times a year at Chipping Norton School with the core purpose to celebrate and share the joys of childhood memorabilia.

Individuals of all ages will be intrigued at the fairs, as they cater to everyone’s tastes with the supply of antiques, sci-fi gadgets, train sets, steam engine models and much, much more. The events are popular because they enable people to source specific items or browse products as part of a fun and enjoyable day out.

“We have different dealers every time and stock is always changing so you never know what’s going to arrive next!” Don told Leisure Solutions. “We always receive fantastic feedback from both visitors and exhibitors with some attending every show.”

The final exhibit for 2017 will take place on Sunday 29th October. If you are interested in finding out more please contact Don using the information provided. Alternatively, you can check out the stock acquired by Don at locally positioned antique centres: The Looking Glass at Bourton-on-the-Water, The Quiet Woman Antique Centre just outside Chipping Norton and Tara Antique Centre in Stow-on-the-Wold.

Where the Magic Happens

Professional singer and actress turned singing teacher and therapist Jayne Marshall established her vocal coaching business approximately 20 years ago and has continued to prosper ever since.

Based in Kingston-on-Thames, Jayne was inspired to set up her own organisation because of her deep rooted passion and ongoing interest in music, and more specifically, a fascination for how these sounds are produced with care, understanding, skill and pleasure.

This is emphasised in the customer-oriented

way Jayne operates: “I treat people the way I would prefer to be treated myself,” she divulged. “I am patient and I never criticise; I explain, suggest and encourage as I find this to be the best way to learn. All-in-all, I have developed into an overall guide directing people forward gently and firmly.”

Working predominantly from home enables the singing specialist to provide private tutoring sessions which are conducted comfortably within a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Her experience and knowledge of the art extends to other

important areas of voice and presentation, essentially confirming her status as a voice therapist.

Jayne’s services have been utilised by people of all ages; from 7 to 70’s of both genders. She is also well equipped to work with people with various speech problems, handicaps and learning difficulties – this includes those with acute shyness. Regardless of their background or ability all individuals are treated with the same degree of respect and care, as Jayne makes it her main aim to maximise their potential.

“The many cards, gifts, flowers, compliments, recommendations and testimonials I receive are very gratifying,” Jayne concluded. “My message to all of my clients is to go forth with confidence and the knowledge in their own capabilities to succeed. I would also like to encourage people to contact me if they feel the need.”

Leisure Solutions would like to offer congratulations to Skydive Netheravon for achieving status as its selected Charity of Choice.

The remarkable enterprise has already acquired recognition as the worlds’ longest continuously operated airfield, as well as the UK’s largest existing parachuting landing area, making it a great place of interest for many reasons.

Located at Netheravon Airfield, in the picturesque Wiltshire countryside, Skydive Netheravon is a longstanding base that was initially utilised before the First World War for balloon operations. It has since been employed for use by the Royal Flying Corps and then become the RAF Netheravon, a training and operational facility.

It was then acquired by the Army Parachute Association (APA) with the purpose to deliver parachute training for members of the public (aged 16 and above) and the military. It is widely appreciated for its sweeping views of the local landscapes and its close placement to the World Heritage site of Stonehenge.

Encouraging people to get involved with fun tandem jumping as well as prompting individuals into obtaining a skydiving licence, the goal of the APA is to celebrate the sport of parachuting. One of its main focuses is to inspire military personnel to engage in the activity, whether they are active, retired or even disabled.

Operating throughout the year, Skydive Netheravon offers its services to everyone above the age requirement, regardless of whether they have had previous experience or are completely new to the sport. Those participating find skydiving to be an incredibly exhilarating

experience, and take away with them memories to last a lifetime.

This inspiring extreme sports activity can be done with friends or solo, yet the result remains the same – thrills and enjoyment for all. Skydiving has proven popular with those arranging charity schemes and individual fundraisers – those jumping have even done so safely and securely in fancy dress and custom-made t-shirts!

Regardless of your motivations, skydiving is a great way to increase your confidence and release stress. Why not find out more by contacting Skydive Netheravon today? The not-for-profit organisation strives to maintain the interests of its members and so continually invests in its services and facilities for ongoing improvement and success.

Charity of Choice

Leisure Solutions is incredibly pleased to present the Indigo Dyslexia Centre as its coveted Company of Choice. We spoke to Administration Operational Management employee Lauren Parsonage in light of this achievement.

Founded by dyslexics in aid of dyslexics, the charitable centre was established in 2004 by mother and son partnership Jennifer and Martin Parsonage. Based in two locations, with a head office in Norwich and an outreach facility in Bury St Edmunds, the not-for-profit organisation operates from these singular spacious properties, which comprise functional client rooms and comfortable waiting areas.

After conducting volunteer work at a dyslexia charity during his time at the

University of East Anglia Martin discovered there was a need for better testing and provisions for this common learning difficulty. This is what inspired him to create a charity that provides quality levels of support and testing for people of all ages and levels of education.

“Our primary service is the provision of professional, efficient and accurate diagnostic assessments for dyslexia,” Lauren told our journalist. “We stand out because we have a really good understanding of dyslexia as well as a good level of professionalism (as all of our assessors are fully qualified). In addition to this we have strong availability; our waiting list is never more than two to three weeks whereas the local authority is running at six to nine months.”

Many individuals have made the most out of the services available from the Indigo Dyslexia Centre – its target market is generally the parents of children ranging in age from seven to seventeen years. Its main aim is to reach out to those with dyslexia, encouraging them to pursue their goals with confidence and competence. They are currently striving to promote their main product/service, which is their widely

successful Level 1 Dyslexia Awareness Course.

The business attends many different educational events in an attempt to strengthen its presence and increase awareness. They are familiar with customer referrals, having been recommended to others by many happy with the service offering, and are pleased to continually receive great feedback from clients. The team are hoping to progress further and are aiming to develop their staff to the point where opening other outreach centres is a possibility.

“The key message we are trying to promote to the forthcoming dyslexic university students is to act fast and early - don’t wait until you are at university to arrange your support,” Lauren said in conclusion. “Building your general knowledge and understanding of dyslexia first is so important, and this is what we can do - if dyslexia is mentioned then we’re here to help!”

The Indigo Dyslexia Centre is well equipped to accommodate children and teenagers with dyslexia courtesy of its wide resource pool, which enables it to

effectively deliver screening, assessments, tutoring, training, colour testing and confidential advice. Whichever service you require you can be sure to receive the expected level of guidance and information from such a dedicated charity. Please get in touch today if you have any enquiries or are interested in getting involved.

Holiday News

Doug Smith is a talented writer focused on encouraging people with disABILITIES to experience the true wonder of cruise ships, and indeed, cruise holidays, lasting anywhere from a two night “taster” cruise to a full world cruise lasting in excess of 100 nights – and everything in between.

Most people with health conditions believe cruise ships are inaccessible to them – however, this is not the case. This has been

proven by author and public speaker Dougie, who states: “Go on! Get out there! Book a cruise! See the world...or at least part of it! After all, it is YOUR world.”

Doug’s book, aptly named “The disABILITY To Cruise?” was published in January 2015 and was developed following a bout of illness in late 2011. Because of personal, health-related reasons, Doug had to give up his career in the cruise industry and, being bed-bound for over six months as a result, meant he had plenty of time on his hands.

This think space – over 6 months - led to the planning of a book and the completion of a feasible script, which was then published mere months after its creation. Doug’s idea for the project came after he jotted down everything he enjoyed about cruise holidays and cruise work – he then used this information for the benefit of others.

Direct experience was another key motivator, as Doug explained: “I can bring first-hand experience of cruise holidays for people with disABILITIES, because, I myself am a full-time wheelchair user, having had Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus since birth. I am unaware of any other company that can offer this “first-hand” knowledge and experience.”

Doug’s book is available in paperback, hardback and e-book formats, all of which are available to purchase via his website (supplied below) or from any reputable bookstore. He also runs presentations about this topic and has set up a dedicated YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCX4sIiFAnGRuhX7utTd6BfQ) complete with suitable photographs and videos.

“I just wish to let everybody know that cruise holidays are accessible to everyone...however, before booking your cruise holiday, it is very important that you do your homework (i.e. check out cruise lines, ships, facilities and itineraries) before you book, not when you arrive at the cruise terminal,” Doug concluded.

“My plan is to go out and speak to groups about cruise holidays for people with disABILITIES, so that they can learn about, and enjoy, cruise holidays without any issues/worries.”

If you have a disABILITY, or know someone with one, and are interested in finding out more about cruise travel, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Doug today.
