PHOTOGRAPHSFrequently, the Recreation Division takes photographsor videotapes of people enjoying programs, specialevents, or parks and facilities. These photographsand videotapes are for the Parks and RecreationDivision publications, recreation brochures, websites,or cable programs. They are used at the Parks andRecreation Division’s discretion and become its soleproperty.

HOW TO READ THE CLASSINFORMATIONEach class listed is identified by an 8 digit codenumber, the location where the class is being held,the day(s) of the week it is being held, the time it isbeing held, the date the class starts, the numberof classes in the session, the instructor, and the costof the class.

REFUND POLICYWhen requested more than one week prior to the classstart date, a 50% refund will be granted for thosewith a medical excuse stating they are unable toparticipate in the class/activity for which they areregistered. Refunds will not be granted without amedical excuse. Once classes begin or rosters aredistributed refunds will not be granted. All refundsmust be submitted in writing at least 7 business daysbefore the class is scheduled to begin.
In the event that the Recreation Division cancels aclass/activity, the participant may 1) have the moneykept on account to use at a later date, or 2) theparticipant may request a full refund. Conveniencefees will not be refunded.
CANCELLATION POLICYThe Corinth Recreation Division reserves the right tocancel any class or activity that does not meet minimumregistration requirements.
WAITING LISTSIf a course is full you may ask to have your nameplaced on the waiting list for that course. When anopening occurs, staff will notify, in waiting list order,the persons on the list and offer the opportunity toregister for the course at that time. Payment for the
course will be required at the time of registration.
NON-RESIDENT FEESClass fees for non-Corinth residents are only $3.50more than the resident fee for classes/activities.Please refer to individual class or activity for prices.A resident is defined as anyone living within thegeographical boundaries of Corinth.

Crime Scene Investigation(Ages 13-17)
This program is intended to interest teens in the forensic sciences of lawenforcement. Teens will be introduced to the Bomb Control Unit and a remotecontrolled bomb robot, perform an arson investigation, uncover fingerprints, beintroduced to DNA and design a DNA model, and reconstruct a robbery scene.Enrollment is limited to 25 participants.

After all that we will stop by the FortWorth Water Gardens. The 4.3 acre water park wasbuilt in 1974 that features 3 pools of water and aterraced knoll. The quiet meditation pool is encircledwith trees and features a flat, still plane of waterthat cascades almost 90 degrees down to a sunkenwalkway. The main attraction of the Water Gardensis the active pool which has water cascading 38 ft.down terraces and steps into a small pool at the bottom.Please register by Monday, April 2nd. Zumba (Ages 16+) *NEW*Zumba is a fun filled fitness class inspired by Latinmusic and dance moves. Body Blast (Ages 16+)This class is designed to focus on those problem areas.Each class will be geared towards toning,strengthening, and cardio. During this classparticipants will use hand weights, rubber bands, andfloor exercises to bring the results he or she is lookingfor. Participants ages 16 & 17 must be accompaniedby an adult. Participants will need to bring handweights and a mat or towel to class. (In the event thatthe Crownover Recreation Center is closed, due toschool activities, class will be cancelled and a make-up class will be scheduled. Make-up classes may takeplace on alternate days from the originally scheduled

Practicesessions will be offered Tuesday thru Thursdaymornings from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at a local facility.Competitive meets are scheduled throughout the areaon weekends. All Qualifying meets are sanctioned byTAAF (Texas Amateur Athletic Federation) whichoffers our athletes the opportunity to advance fromlocal to regional, then to State competitions at theGames of Texas. Registration fee is $70/person onor before Tuesday, April 24th. Late registration feeis $85/person. Registration deadline is Tuesday, May15th. The fee includes TAAF registration, A CorinthTrack Team jersey, registration fees into the TAAFRegional Track Meet, and professional instruction.Participants are responsible for individual meetregistration fees, which are $3 per meet. Woods Building RentalThe City of Corinth Woods Building is available tothe public for use when not in use for recreationactivities. The Woods Building is located in theWoods Park at 1128 Postwood Drive in Corinth. TheWoods Building will need to be reserved the Fridaybefore the week the reservation is needed. The WoodsBuilding can be rented for a minimum of two(2) hoursper rental. The Woods Building may not be reservedafter 10:00 p.m or on a continuous basis.

CORINTH PARK SYSTEMThe City of Corinth Parks Division is the steward of184 acres of public parkland in Corinth. The Divisionalso maintains over 11 playgrounds in parks throughoutthe city. Safety and accessibility, as always, are aprimary concern in the design of all parks. Forcomments or suggestions about any park, please contactthe Parks Division at 940-498-3200.
PARKS SERVICE REQUESTSIf you should ever encounter an unusual maintenancecondition or hazard in the parks, please contact theParks Division at 940-498-3200 to report it. We willattempt to correct the problem as quickly as possible.
THE FUTURE OF YOUR PARKS,TRAILS,AND FACILITIESFuture park and recreation facility needs of thecity are being met today through planning and designfor anticipated needs as well as updating currentfacilities. One example is the Trails Grant awardedto the Parks and Recreation Division by the TexasParks and Wildlife Department. These grant fundswill allow the City to add an additional seven (7) milesof “soft trail” to our existing trail system. Currentlythe City has 1.69 miles of “soft trail” and 5.74 milesof “hard trail” throughout our City Parks. Thisadditional trail will bring our trail system total to12.74 miles allowing citizens to enjoy its use bywalking, jogging, biking, and horseback riding.
PARK PAVILIONSThe City of Corinth has two park pavilions that maybe reserved. One pavilion, located in the Woods Parkon Postwood Drive, measures 39 ft. X 36 ft. in sizeand has 3 picnic tables for your use. The secondpavilion is located at the Corinth Community Park,adjacent to the baseball fields and basketball court,measures 30 ft. X 50 ft. in size and picnic tables willbe available.
