Communication Book Just a reminder to all residents and visitors that
we will have a new communication book system
in place of the signing in/out system. This is in
case you cannot find a carer to notify them of
your absence at Leigh Place. This is due to fire
regulation rules and to ensure resident’s safety.

all the numbers for the houses to make
contacting your loved one easier.

facility is 10kms to ensure the safety of our
residents and staff.
Please be careful to look out for any wildlife
or animals that might be on the roads.
Please note that there is to be no parking
along the pathways outside houses or within
the roundabout. Please only park in the
designated spaces. Additionally parking is
available on Skinner Avenue.
Hot Weather Just a reminder that as the weather is getting
hotter, we encourage everyone to keep up
their fluids. This is an important key in
preventing UTIs (Urinary Tract Infections). Also
when going outside please wear appropriate
clothing, sunscreen and a hat.
Food Safety Due to food safety regulations, family who
bring in food for their loved ones are to
heat it up. Care staff are not to heat up the
food brought from home. Any leftovers
will have to be stored in the resident’s
own fridge with the date. We have labels
available for family members to use
located in each kitchen that we encourage
you to use. Please approach staff if you
cannot locate these labels.
Noticeboards Just a reminder for all residents to check the
noticeboards located in the dining room.
This is where we post any changes that need
to occur after the calendar has been
published.
Café Coffee and Cake day will now be called
Café. In 2017 we will be looking to rename
the café to something unique to Leigh

We encourage residents and relatives to
