Legendary Waters Resort and Casino in Red Cliff, WIrecently held a Grand Opening celebration for the new Legends Sports Grill. Located at the casino just three milesNorth of Bayfield, WI, the newly remodeled restaurant andlounge offers panoramic views of Lake Superior and the Apos-tle Islands with a “full-press” sports-themed atmosphere.

The Grand Opening included a ribbon cutting, a samplingof the new menu, a special cake station, refreshments anddrink specials.

Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel Celebrates Grand Opening

The Muckleshoot Casino is set to undergo a significantupgrade and expansion that will include a modern new overall floorplan, greater food options, expanded gaming space,large events center and greater smoke free area.

"Our focus has always been on continual improvement ofour casino operations and providing our customers a first-classexperience," said Muckleshoot Tribal Council Chair VirginiaCross. "This latest remodel and expansion project will keep ourcasino business strong, ensure that our customers get great valuefor their entertainment dollar and meet our responsibility toour community members."

Since opening in 1995 in a 13,000 sq. ft. tent the MuckleshootCasino has undergone a number of successful expansion andimprovement projects that have earned the casino the reputa-tion as the premier entertainment destination in the region. Thislatest expansion is scheduled to be completed in early 2020 andwill include: a 20,000 sq. ft. technologically advanced eventsand conference center that is divisible into five different sections and an overall seating capacity of 2,000; light-filled conference center pre-function promenade featuring a glass wallthat will allow attendees to soak in the beauty of the Northwest; three new fast-casual dining destinations and adynamic new center bar; 10,000 sq. ft. of gaming space;

contemporary new exterior facade and arrival experience; anda cultural center that celebrates the history and journey of theMuckleshoot Tribe.

In addition to offering the Puget Sound region first-classgaming and entertainment options, the casino revenues support an array of important programs and services for tribalmembers like elder services, education, health care, housingassistance and employment opportunities.

The first one hundred jackpot winners received a commem-orative, logoed jacket and were the envy of everyone aroundthem. By 10 pm, more than 65 jackpots had been won. To qualify, guests had to win a taxable jackpot of more than$1,200.

The evening festivities concluded with the Mega Spinsgiveaway where 30 guests each had a chance to spin the Big

Wheel and possibly win one million dollars. In total, almost$30,000 was won during this promotion.

The new gaming floor, Casino Expansion Phase II, is thetribe’s 85,463 sq. ft. casino addition connected to the west sideof the existing Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Events Center.Along with the new casino floor, there is an addition to the northside of the Event Center, over 300 new parking spaces, a newBingo Hall, Buffet and Lounge.

With the completion of its newest dining venue, The Houseof Seven Brothers, the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe is nowfocusing on its next venture, the 7 Cedars Hotel, the firstphase of the 7 Cedars Resort masterplan.

The Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe recently broke ground onits five story, 100 room hotel, positioned adjacent to the 7 CedarsCasino in Sequim, WA. The hotel will offer new opportuni-ties for positions in the local hospitality industry. Revenues

7 Cedars Hotel Breaks Ground – Slated to Open in 2020

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe and Casino Del Sol’s new hotel,under construction, recently reached a significant milestone.The final steel beam has been placed on top of the new hotel,marking the halfway point in the construction process and signifying the completion of the structural phase of construc-tion. Pascua Yaqui tribal members, Casino Del Sol team members and members of the McCarthy construction team hadthe opportunity to sign the 17 ft. long beam at a topping offceremony before it was lifted to its place on top of the hotel’sframework.

“Reaching this significant milestone is something we’vebeen looking forward to, and we wouldn’t be in the home stretchwithout the team’s hard work,” said CEO of Casino Del Sol,Kimberly Van Amburg. “The signatures on the beam of all whohelped make this happen will now be a permanent part of thehotel structure.”

The new hotel is named Estrella at Casino Del Sol. Sittingon 2.2 acres adjacent to the existing Casino Del Sol, the hotelwill have six floors and 151 rooms that take advantage of thestunning views of the property and the surrounding SonoranDesert landscape, designed with a modern touch.

The amenities of Estrella at Casino Del Sol include meeting rooms, an arcade, a lounge area, and fitness center.Additionally, the hotel will have a family-friendly pool, equippedwith a pool slide for the kids and poolside bar for the adults.

The new hotel will match Casino Del Sol’s Sonoran Desertdesign with a modern twist. The building exterior colors andcontemporary forms will complement the desert mountain backdrop, while the lobby will offer a fresh, clean, and open feeling that welcomes guests.

“Estrella at Casino Del Sol represents the Pascua YaquiTribe’s commitment to providing world-class hospitality in Tucson,” said Chairman of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, RobertValencia. “The topping off of our new hotel is an excitingachievement that signifies we are getting closer to opening thedoors and welcoming our community.”

Since breaking ground in July 2018, the construction teamworking on Estrella at Casino Del Sol has made remarkableprogress. In addition to the new hotel, Casino Del Sol’s large-scale hospitality project also includes a new 75-space RV park, an expansion of the current meeting space at CasinoDel Sol, and a new Event Center called the Sunset Room atits sister property, Casino of the Sun. These projects brokeground along with the hotel in July 2018 and are scheduled tobe completed this summer. Estrella at Casino Del Sol is set tofollow, with a Grand Opening in November 2019.

will fund tribal programs and services. A sovereign nation, the tribe offers its citizens various services and benefits. While federal funding covers some of these costs, tribal revenues help raise the level of these services up to 21st centurystandards.

Some may recall that this project was originally slated tobegin in 2008, but the tribe determined that a delay was prudent due to the national financial downturn at that time.Now, ten years later, the many pieces of this complex projectare coming together along with an improved economy.

Construction of a service road connecting the casino, hotel,longhouse market, and tribal campus began in July 2018, toallow employees and guests to travel between venues withoutentering the Highway 101 front guest entrance. The BlynTribal properties will be connected to the Class A WaterReclamation Facility at the east end of the City of Sequim. That facility was designed with excess capacity to handle thegrowth that has been expected in East Clallam County. The Carlsborg community connected in 2017 and the BlynTribal campus is expected to connect in late fall of 2018.

Architecture on design choices – using natural elements spanning from water to sky – that will visually tell the story ofthe Pacific Northwest, and the northwest region tribes’ history and culture. With a bold and inviting, wood-rich exterior, the hotel will be located to the west of the existing 7 Cedars Casino on the reservation land of the tribe.

The first floor will house a large lobby, conference/meeting/banquet space, a coffee bar and administrative offices. The fourupper floors will offer 100 rooms decorated in Northweststyle with quality craftsmanship that reflects the strength, harmony and timelessness of life on the Olympic Peninsula, thetribe’s homeland since time immemorial. The tribe’s goal is toenhance a visitor’s sense of this place, its history, and to offeran opportunity to experience the beauty and authenticity of thenatural surroundings.

Chairman W. Ron Allen stated, “We’re excited that wefinally have a firm time schedule for this project that we havetalked about for so many years. We are confident it will extendthe casual elegance theme we have strived for at our 7 CedarsResort and Casino.” The long awaited hotel will open in thespring of 2020. ®
