Our April chapter meeting will be held at the Naples Sailing & Yacht Club with Ambassador Michael Novak as our featured speaker. Michael Novak is an American Catholic philosopher, journalist, novelist, and diplomat. The author of more than twenty-five books on the philosophy and theology of culture, Novak is most widely known for his book “The Spirit of Democratic Capitalism’. His latest book is “No One Sees God: The Dark Night of Atheists and Believers”. Mr. Novak was appointed and served as Ambassador of the U.S. Delegation to the U.N. Human Rights Commission in Geneva from 1981–1982; head of the U.S. Delegation to the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (the monitor of the Helsinki Accords) in 1986; with Senate approval, member of the Board for International Broadcasting in 1984. Michael Novak served President Reagan three times as Human Rights Ambassador, was a favorite social philosopher of Margaret Thatcher and was often listed by Pope John Paul II as one of his five lay friends around the world." He now resides in Ave Maria, Florida as a trustee and visiting professor at Ave Maria University. He will provide an interesting evening of insights, anecdotes and personal stories including those of his very special relationship with Pope John Paul the Great.

Our April chapter meeting will be held at the Naples Sailing & Yacht Club with Ambassador Michael Novak as our featured speaker. Michael Novak is an American Catholic philosopher, journalist, novelist, and diplomat.
