REMEMBERING OUR PASTFor over 70 years, Grace Bible College has been faithful to its mission statement: “Graduating Godly Individuals Prepared To Serve Christ In Church And Society.” It is a mission we have taken very seriously.

Perhaps you are one of our proud alumni who have fond memories of your days spent at GBC strengthening your faith in and walk with Christ while developing lifelong friends and maybe even finding your spouse. What joy it must bring as you reflect on those wonderful times. Maybe you’ve had the pleasure of assisting a child or grandchild as they attended GBC and look back on that experience as one of the best investments you have ever made.

PREPARING FOR OUR FUTUREToday, as in the past, students graduate with both an occupation and a ministry mindset. This is true not only in the ministry-focused majors like missions or pastoral ministry, but also in majors such as education and human services. Students at Grace understand how to serve others in such a way that will make a difference in the world around them Every Day. By supporting Grace Bible College through a planned gift, you help us carry on the rich tradition of providing the very best in Christian education as we seek to reach the world for Christ.

THE GRACE BIBLE COLLEGE LEGACY SOCIETYThe Grace Bible College Legacy Society has been created to both encourage donors to make planned gifts, and recognize donors who have already made these thoughtful estate planning gifts to GBC. Your gifts to The Grace Bible College Legacy Society may be designated for a specific area of our ministry or remain undesignated, which will help build the endowment, a perpetual fund that provides financial support for all aspects of GBC.

Gifts to The Legacy Society through your Will, Trust, or other planned giving arrangements ensure that the Gospel continues to go forward at GBC from one generation to the next. In becoming a member, you make an extraordinary gift to your loved ones, creating a lasting memorial to your lifelong values.

Donors also find that planned gifts to The Legacy Society allow them to make a significant gift beyond what they could give annually and may enable them to use assets which might otherwise incur substantial income or capital gains tax. Some planned gifts even provide lifetime income.

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?Each individual who has notified The Grace Bible College Office of Fund Development of their gift qualifies to become a member of The Legacy Society. Perhaps you have already made a planned gift to GBC. If so, please share that good news with us. If not, we ask you to prayerfully consider

this very important decision. Please provide us with the necessary membership information by calling the Office of Fund Development at (616) 261-8565, sending us the attached completed form or emailing us at: plannedgiving@gbcol.edu.

THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS TO MAKE A PLANNED GIFT TO GRACE BIBLE COLLEGE

BEQUESTSThe most frequently used planned gift is a bequest in your Will or Trust. Charitable bequests are fully deductible for estate tax purposes.

LIFE INCOME GIFTSPerhaps a GBC Charitable Gift Annuity or Charitable Remainder Trust could be used for additional income in retirement while providing excellent tax benefits now.

RETIREMENT ASSETSConsider naming Grace Bible College as the beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement plan.

LIFE INSURANCEYou may make a gift of a paid-up life insurance policy or pay the premium on a new policy where GBC is the owner and beneficiary.
