eventbrite, eventwax, expectnation, wordpress, facebook, twitter, uStream, openconferenceware
free, open & unmoderated formats are fun, but unpredictable...
...paid, curated & edited events are less exciting, but quality can be higher
small companies can be bigger sponsors than corporates
leeds has terrible conference venues & fussy caterers!
