t h a t d i s p i t s f u l l y use y o u " . He i n a u g u r a t e d a n o t h e r m o t i v e , a n o t h e r

rem edy, and t h a t was L ove . But i t h a s t a k e n us a l o n g t im e , as a

r a c e , t o r e a l i z e , t o a p p r e c i a t e t h a t l o v e i s a s t r o n g e r i n c e n t i v e t o

r i g h t a c t i o n , i t i s a more p o t e n t remedy t h a n p un ishm en t o r f e a r , b e ­

c a u se a l l p u n i sh m e n t i s b a se d upon f e a r .

When you c a l l up t h a t h o y and s a y t o him, " I am g o in g t o

p u n i s h you, son , f o r t h a t " ; a r e you u s i n g t h e o l d Mosaic law , o r

a r e you u s i n g t h e law o f J e s u s C h r i s t ? When you t e l l t h e c h i l d ,

"How, he c a r e f u l . You w i l l h u r t y o u r s e l f . How, i f you do t h a t ,

you w i l l g e t p u n i s h e d f o r i t " - i s t h a t th e o l d Mosaic l a w , o r t h e

law of J e s u s C h r i s t ? When you s a y t o y o u r s e l f , "Well now, I would

l i k e t o do t h a t , h u t I know i f I do, so m e th in g w i l l happen t o me. I

know I w i l l have t h a t o ld c o n d i t i o n come on a g a i n " .

How, we a r e g e t t i n g r i g h t h a c k to home, d o n ' t you see?

I s t h a t t h e r i g h t remedy? I fo u n d n o t l o n g ago t h a t I was r e f r a i n i n g

f rom d o in g a c e r t a i n t h i n g b e c a u se I was a f r a i d of g e t t i n g p u n i s h e d .

That i s , I knew when I d i d a c e r t a i n t h i n g , I s u f f e r e d some d i s ­

c o r d a n t c o n d i t i o n i n my body, and I r e f r a i n e d f ro m do in g t h a t t i l i n g

f r o m t h e f e a r o f s u f f e r i n g . And I found I was b e in g p u l l e d a s u n d e r

a lm o s t b y two c u r r e n t s o f th o u g h t w h ic h were ru n n in g t h r o u g h me, and

I was i n a s t a t e o f d i s c o r d , and I d i d n ’t know what was t h e m a t t e r ,

a n d I f e l t d i s t u r b e d , and t h e S p i r i t showed me i n a dream t h a t I was

a f r a i d o f t h e r e s u l t of my a c t i v e t h o u g h t , t h e r e s u l t o f my a c t i o n s .

We spoke t h e o t h e r n i g h t , i n t h e M y s t ic and O c c u l t i s t

s c h o o l s t h e y have a symbolism o f one e n t e r i n g a t u n n e l w i t h a

b r i g h t chamber a t the o t h e r end . You see a s t a r , b u t you have t o

p a s s t h r o u g h t h i s w ho le chamber o f h o r r o r s , i n which you meet a l l

k i n d s of enem ies and a n im a l s , a n d t h o s e t h i n g s which oppose t h e man

W ell now, what a r e t h o s e t i l i n g s ? Why, t h o s e a r e a l l i n

t h e s u b c o n s c i o u s . T h is Kingdom o f Heaven, o r t h i s chamber o f l i g h t

i s deep w i t h i n t h e so u l o f e v e r y one o f u s , b u t , i n o r d e r t o r e a c h

i t , we have t o p a s s t h r o u g h a l l t h e s e t h o u g h t s t h a t we have b u i l t

up i n u s , and t h e y a re t i g e r s and l i o n s a n d w o lv es , and t h e y a r e

a n g r y h o r s e s and m u ley cows, and a l l th o se t h i n g s t h a t you dream

a b o u t as c h as in g , you - s e r p e n t s , and b i r d s o f p r e y , and a t h o u s a n d

a n d one t h i n g s - f a l l i n g down p r e c i p i c e s , and b e i n g drowned i n t h e

w a t e r . You dream about a l l t h o s e t h i n g s . That i s , when you g e t

i n t o y o u r s u b c o n s c i o u s , you a r e g o in g t h r o u g h t h i s chamber o f h o r ­

r o r s t o w a rd s t h e p ro m ised l a n d .

How, th o s e c o n d i t i o n s have b e e n b u i l t up, n e a r l y a l l o f

them, t h r o u g h t h i n k i n g . T h a t i s t ru e They are c r e a t i o n s o f t h e

mind, o r i t s i g n o r a n c e , and when we b e g in t o s t r a i g h t e n o u r s e l v e s

o u t , t h a t i s , t h e r e g e n e r a t i o n s e t s i n , a l l t h o s e s u b c o n s c i o u s s t a t e s

must be s e t r i g h t . Bu t , when you g e t down t h e r e , o r you p a s s th rough

t h i s chamber o f h o r r o r s , you a re a f r a i d o f the c o n d i t i o n s , you a r e

a f r a i d o f t h e a n im a l s and t h e s e r p e n t s and th e t e r r o r s t h e r e s e t

f o r t h , a n d some p e o p le r e f r a i n f rom g o i n g i n t o t h e r e g e n e r a t i v e p r o ­

c e s s on t h a t v e r y a c c o u n t .

T ha t i s j u s t e x a c t l y what t h e S p i r i t showed me. I was

a f r a i d of my own t h o u g h t c r e a t i o n . How, we know t h a t i f one h a s t h e

power t o make a t h i n g , he h a s t h e power t o unmake i t , and i f you a r e

i n a n y way s u f f e r i n g f ro m t h e s e c o n d i t i o n s , why you n e v e r w i l l g e t

i n t o che Kingdom o f God, you w i l l n e v e r e n t e r t h e chamber o f L i g h t .

I n o'-.uer w o rd s , you must f i x up a l l o f y o u r c r e a t i o n s . When you do

i t "boldly and f e a r l e s s l y , i n l o v e , t h e y s im p ly m e l t away. T h ey

have no power h u t what you g iv e them, and 1 1 , i n t h e name ox D x v m e

But where we, w i t h o u t t h o u g h t o f e v i l , w i t h o u t m a l i c e , i n o u r c h i l d ­

i s h i g n o r a n c e , do t h i n g s t h a t B r in g d i s c o r d a n t r e s u l t s , t h a t c r e a t e

e v i l c o n d i t i o n s , I d o n ' t t h i n k i t i s n e c e s s a r y t o p u n i s h o n e . I t

i s n ' t n e c e s s a r y t o p u n i s h y o u r s e l f ; i t i s n ' t n e c e s s a r y t o h o l d up th e

t h o u g h t o f f e a r . We need e d u c a t i n g , t h a t i s i t . We n eed a f u l l e r

u n d e r s t a n d i n g , a i d w i t h i t , t h e c o n s c i o u s n e s s t h a t God, t h e Loving

B a t h e r , i s a lw ay s w i t h you, and t h a t A l l - f o r g i v i n g Love i s a lw ay s

r e a d y t o t a k e away t h e f e a r , t h e i g n o r a n c e , and a l l of i ^ s r e ­

s u l t s .

f u l c u r a t i v e power. A man s a i d t o me n o t l o n g ago, "Why, I have got

t o have h e a l t h . T h e re i s a c e r t a i n m u sc le i n my b o d y t h a t I have

to t h e d o c t o r , and he s a i d t h a t i t i s n e c e s s a r y t o s t r e t c h i t . I t

h a s “been c o n t r a c t e d , and he h a s b e e n s t r e t c h i n g i t " . He s a i d ,

" I t has b e e n s t r e t c h e d too f a r ; I am in p a i n c o n t i n u a l l y ; i r r i t a t i o n

h a s s e t i n , and I want t o know i f you can h e l p me". I saw a t once

i t was i n h i s m in d . That man had cau sed t h e m usc le t o c o n t r a c t

t h r o u g h s u b c o n s c i o u s f e a r . I s a i d , "Why c e r t a i n l y . A l l you nave to

do now i s t o g e t h o l d o f t h o u g h t s o f t h e o m n ip re se n t l o v e o f God,

and t h a t , t h r o u g h t h a t Love, a l l y o u r s i n s a r e f o r g i v e n " , he s a i d ,

"That i s s o . I have b e e n a m ig h t y b a d man". "Y es ," I s a i d , " I knew

t h a t . I c o u ld see i t on y o u r f a c e " . He s a i d , " I am n o t r e a l l y a

b ad man a t h e a r t . I have j u s t b een bad t h r o u g h a s s o c i a t i o n " . I s a i d

" I know t h a t t o o " . Then I s a i d , " I f you had a young man b e f o r e

you, a n d you knew t h a t man h a d n ' t been b a d , m a l i c i o u s l y bad , but

bad t h r o u g h a s s o c i a t i o n , you

s a y , 'God f o r g i v e s me. There i s no t h o u g h t o f p u n ish m en t ; t h e r e

f a c t i s t h a t God d o e s n ' t h o l d a g a i n s t us a t h o u g h t t h a t lie i s go­

in g t o whip us o r p u n i s h u s , o r p u t us i n j a i l , o r t i e u s up b y

t h e thumbs and f l a i l u s , o r a n y th i n g o f t h a t k i n d . God i s Love;

God i s t h e g r e a t b a s i s ; and t h a t man to o k up t h e t h o u g h t o f Love.

At f i r s t , he sa i d , he d i d n ' t ge t any r e s u l t s ; b u t f i n a l l y he g o t

h e a l e d b e c a u s e he r ed u c ed h i s mind t o a p e r f e c t harmony, and t h a t

r e a c t e d upon t h e weak, i r r i t a n t m u s c le , and he g o t w e l l , p e r m a n e n t l y

v e i l - d i d n ' t have t o have h i s m u s c le s s t r e t c h e d b y t h e d o c t o r ' s

i n s t r u m e n t s .

We know t h e t r u e remedy f o r e v e r y e v i l i s t o d e s i r e w i t h

t h e r i v h t t h o u g h t , and a d j u s t t h e t h o u g h t t o t h e D i v i n e Mind. B u t ,

i n d e a l i n g w i t h o u r s e l v e s and o u r f e l l o w s , we must remember t h a t

Love f u l f i l l s t h e law, and i f you r e a d o f some g r e a t c r i m i n a l , and

you t h i n k t h a t man ought t o be h ung , he ought t o be s e v e r e l y p u n i s h ­

ed, you sh o u ld be c a r e f u l about t h a t , b ecau se you a r e t r y i n g a law

opposed an d d i f f e r e n t f ro m t h a t o f God. T h a t man sh o u ld be educa ted ,

and a l l men s h o u l d be e d u c a t e d . Our j . a i l s s h o u ld be i n s t i t u t i o n s

where men a r e t a u g h t t h e l a w . And you can see t h a t t h e r e i s a g r e a t

change gone on i n t h e l a s t few y e a r s , r i g h t i n t h i s one t h i n g - i n

e d u c a t i n g t h e c r i m i n a l s , d o in g away w i t h t h e s e v e r e p u n ish m en t ; and

t h e r e fo rm i n t h a t r e s p e c t h a s j u s t b e g u n . E v e ry man t h a t does

wrong sh o u ld go t o s c h o o l an d be t a u g h t t h e r i g h t . b e w i l l a l l uo

r i g h t i f we know t h e r i g h t . I do r i g h t when I a b s o l u t e l y know t h e

r i g h t . I may do i t t h r o u g h m o t i v e s o f f e a r , b u t t h e r e I must know

m y s e l f . I f you f i n d y o u r s e l f d o in g t h i n g s b e c a u se you a r e a f r a i d

o f t h e law , why, g e t a l i t t l e c l o s e r t o God, and s a y t o th e F a t h e r ,

" I want t o do t h i n g s ; I want t o do a l l t h i n g s b e c a u s e I l o v e t o do

i t , n o t b e c a u se I am a f r a i d o f p u n i s h m e n t . Then you l o v e t o do

e v e r y t h i n g ; t h e n a l l t h a t you do becomes a j o y . Your whole l i f e i s

t r a n s f o r m e d when you lo v e t o d o , when you o n l y t h i n k o f l o v i n g t o do

t h e w i l l o f God.

¥o?/ , we can a l l l i v e u n d e r t h a t l a w . I t i s j u s t a m a t t e r

o f a l i t t l e a t t e n t i o n e v e r y day, e v e r y moment, t o t h e t h o u g h t t h a t

" I l o v e t o do t h i s , and I lo v e t o do t h a t . I l o v e I l o v e t o do my

work, j u s t a s a c h i l d l o v e s t o p l a y . I d o n ' t t h i n k about t h e b u r ­

den; I d o n ' t t h i n k abou t t h e p a i n ; I d o n ' t t h i n k o f a n y t h i n g , j u s t

t h e l o v i n g t o do i t . " And, t h r o u g h t h i s law o f d raw ing upon your

r e s o u r c e s w i t h i n , you p r e t t y soon s e t i n t o a c t i o n a l o v e - b a t t e r y .

E v e r y one of us h a s a l o v e - b a t t e r y . You know where t h a t i s . R ig h t

h e r e a t t h e h e a r t ; and when 3/011 c e n t e r y o u r a t t e n t i o n t h e r e , i t

b e g i n s t o g e n e r a t e , and t h e Love j u s t g o es out in e v e r y t h i n g you do.

You become a h e a l i n g power, a c e n t e r o f l o v e , a c e n t e r t h a t w i l l

work lo v e i n t o a LI t h a t you do, i n a l l y o u r a f f a i r s , i n t o your v e r y

b o d y . T h i s power of Love i s so m e th in g beyond o u r c o n c e p t . We

t a l k a bou t th e power o f e l e c t r i c i t y ; we t a l k about t h e power of

st earn; we talk about the power of wat e r ; we talk about the power of

light. There is nothing equal to the p o \wer of Love. That is 8.

fact . So, if you wa nt ;a real power; if you want to do s omethin p*

that w ill be eternal aid everlast ing; if you want your business t 0

s u c c e e d , s e n d t h e power o f lo v e i n t o i t . But you c a n ' t s e n d t h a t

out from j u s t y o u r h e a d . Why, i f you want t o h e lp t h e b u s i n e s s ;

i f you want t o h e l p p e o p l e , you must have y o u r w i r e s i n t o y o u r b a t ­

t e r y , and t h e n t h e power goes o u t . T ha t i s t h e l a w .

Then, q u ic k e n t h e power w i t h i n ; c l a im God i s in you, and

s e t t h i s kingdom i n t o a c t i o n t h r o u g h r e a l i z i n g f i r s t t h e s e w o n d e r fu l

t r u t h s , t h a t Love i s th e f u l f i l l i n g o f t h e law; t h a t t h e r e i s a power

in Love, an A lm ig h ty power; t h a t we, e v e r y one o f u s , a r e b a t t r i e s

t h r o u g h which, t h i s i n f i n i t e c u r r e n t of Love i s e x p r e s s in g i t s e l f ,

How, i f you f i n d t h a t you have a t r e m b l y f e e l i n g i n any

p a r t o f y o u r body , i t i s l a c k o f l o v e . There i s a f e a r t h o u g h t ,

i t may be f e a r of p u n i s h m e n t , f e a r o f t r a n s g r e s s i o n , f e a r of a n im a l s

f e a r o f f r i e n d and f o e . We sometimes are a f r a i d o f o u r f r i e n d s ;

t h a t i s , we a re a f r a i d of t h e i r c r i t i c i s m . A l i t t l e t h i n g l i k e t h a t

w i l l c a u se you t o be sh a k y so m e t im es . You are a f r a i d o f what p e o ­

p l e t h i n k a b o u t you, s a y o f you. Now, i f you have your h e a r t f i l l ­

ed w i t h l o v e , t h a t f e a r won’ t count a t a l l ; and t h e way t o make

y o u r b o d y h a rm o n io u s i s t o f i l l i t w i t h th e v e r y S u b s ta n c e of Love,

and , as I sa y , i f t h e r e i s a weak s p o t i n you anywhere , deny f e a r

a n d a f f i r m l o v e , and you w i l l h e a l i t .

I have s e e n t h i s remedy t r i e d a g a in and a g a i n , i n n e a r l y

a l l k i n d s o f d e s e a s e s where weakness comes in - where t h e r e i s some

weak g l a n d , o r weak f u n c t i o n s - t h e r e i s a lw ays a f e a r as t h e cause

o f t h a t w eak n e ss , and t h e s t r o n g e s t t h o u g h t of b u i l d i n g t h a t you can

have i s l o v e .

So, f o r any c o n d i t i o n - I d o n ' t c a r e what i t i s - t r y

t h i s Love T r e a tm e n t , and you w i l l f i n d i t w i l l w o r k . Yoo. c a n h e a l

b y t a k i n g as t h e t e x t e v e r y day, " I c a s t out a l l f e a r , and I p u t

i n i t s p l a c e a l l L o v e . " Why, i f you c o u ld s t i c k t o t h o s e two t e x t s ,

and u se t h o s e two s t a t e s o f mind, you m ight become t h e g r e a t e s t

h e a l e r in th e w o r l d . But we d o n ' t s t i c k t o o u r p r o p o s i t i o n . T h a t

i s t h e t r o u b l e w i t h us h e a l e r s . When a p a t i e n t comes t o u s w i t hi

some d i s e a s e , i n s t e a d o f s im p ly d e n y in g i t , a n d s a y in g t h e r e i s no

r e a l i t y i n i t , we d o n ’t c r i t i c i s e - o r we do c r i t i c i s e - and we see

t h e e r r o r , and i t beg in. s t o f i x i t s e l f i n o u r mind; and you c a n ' t

h e a l w i t h o u t l o v e . E r r o r n e v e r h e a l s e r r o r ; e v i l n e v e r h e a l s e v i l .

I t i s t h e a l l - f o r g i v i n g power of Love t h a t does t h e work .

So, i f you want t o be a s u c c e s s f u l h e a l e r , d o n ' t a l lo w

i t t o e n t e r i n t o y o u r mind; d o n ' t see t h o s e t h i n g s . J u s t t h i n k a bou t

h e a l t h , t h e Supreme F o r g i v i n g Power o f God 's l o v e . D o n ' t h o ld

anybody in e v i l s t a t e s o f mind. D o n ' t s a y , t o p e o p le : "You w i l l

' g e t i t i n t h e n e c k ' f o r t h a t ; you w i l l be p u n i s h e d f o r t h a t . " You

have no r i g h t t o l a y down t h e law o f p u n i s h m e n t . You a re n o t h e r e

a s t h e ju d g e o f God, and you w i l l n e v e r do t h i s h e a l i n g i f you

v i n e L ove . I d o n ' t c a r e what t h e c o n d i t i o n i s . I s a y "God f o r ­

g i v e s you . I d o n ' t p a s s judgment on y ou . I t d o e s n ' t make a h i t o f

d i f f e r e n c e what you do, I know t h a t t h e A l l - f o r g i v i n g Love o f God

i s e q u a l t o t h e c o n d i t i o n . "
