Dealing with Violence and Disputes:llah, the ! alted has e plained systematic ways of dealing with

violence and disputes amongst #uslims. $he first step towardssettlements should be to convince both the entities to makepeace and cease the aggression without making parties.

%econdly, if one entity does not stop fighting then his oppositionmust be aided until he returns to the command of Allah. $he&rophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam( emphasi)ed this issuesaying* "+elp your brother whether he is the oppressor or theoppressed." A ompanion radhi allahu anhu( asked* "-#essenger of Allah +elping him when he is oppressed is clear,but how can I help him when he is the oppressor/" $he &rophet

inally, when the oppressor submits to the law of Allah,then peace should be made between them with justice.

Islamic Brotherhood:

After ordering just peace among the believers, Allahreveals the basis of this action 2 'Islamic Brotherhood'.

All #uslims are brothers and e@ual in the sight of Allahregardless of race, color and their disputes. $he#essenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam( said* "It

is not permitted for a #uslim to break relations with his#uslim brother for more than three nights each turningaway from the other when they meet. And the best ofthem is he who is first to begin greeting the other with

$his verse introduces certain prohibitions necessary for theestablishment of successful Islamic %ociety. Allah forbidsthe believers from mockery, scorning or looking down atsomeone 2 %corn is the product of &ride, which is itselfprohibited in Islam. And* "Indeed +e Allah( does not lovethe proud" 1%oorah an28ahl* E;3

&rophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam( said* "Allah All2#ightysaid* "&ride is #y cloak, and Flory is #y rap, so for hewho competes with #e in either of these, I will cast him intothe 4ire." 1Abu =awood and Ibn #ajah3

Allah's #essenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam( said* "If youwere not sinners, I would fear what is worse for you* &ride,&ride Gjb(."

Al2Gjb in this +adeeth implies arrogance due to self2praise. It borders on the slave who is blessed by Allahwith +is Ability of hiding imperfections and sins. Allahhides his sins and imperfections from the people andyet he behaves in a manner as though he is better thansome.

Al2Gjb may or may not be apparent, and if manifestedoutwardly it is called &ride or Arrogance. It creeps untous when ideal discussions take place critici)ing the

sinner, though we do not name him. It is a way of'showing your pride without showing it' And the#essenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam( said*"+e will not enter &aradise who has even a speck ofpride in his heart." 1%aheeh #uslim3

$he cure of &ride is to remember that we are createdfrom a substance not worth mentioning* "+as there notbeen, over man, a period of time when he was nothing

for the sake of Allah Alone without intending to be seenor heard by others nor attaining titles and positions.

+e who is proud of his possessions should know thatthe !ventual end of all possessions is with Allah, and hepossesses nothing but it is a test for him. +e should usethem sincerely for the pleasure of Allah. security, in good health, having his food for the day,then he has gathered what the world has to offer him."1Abu =awood and Ibn #ajah3

here was once a camel that the &rophet sallallahu alaihiwasallam( owned, it was undefeated in racing. $he#uslims were proud of this camel. -ne day the camellost a race, this saddened the #uslims. -n thisoccasion, the &rophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam(informed them* "Indeed, it is the right upon Allah thatnothing in this life is raised, but +e lowers it." 1%aheeh
