About Us
Learning2Innovate is an education startup to promote inquiry and project based learning in teams. Our programs aim to enable young minds to apply their knowledge to solve complex problems and innovate to succeed in life.
Our coaching methods foster kids to communicate, collaborate, think critically and create the new world they wish to live in. Knowledge age requires knowledge workers. What our schools teach today is no longer enough. Many repeatable & mundane jobs are being automated. Kids who learn to generate new ideas, work in teams and innovate will thrive in 21st century and solve complex global challenges.

Education research tells us schools need to be smaller, with more parent involvement and more personalized curricula. Brain research shows people learn by making sense of information, by connecting things, and by learning in a real context.

Engagement & motivation to learn is driven by our own natural curiosity. Our coaching methods are designed to ignite young minds with questions that are interesting and motivating. This process connects information more meaningful way compared to teaching facts and processes in traditional class room. Research shows that when a learner is involved and engaged, they retain 80% of what they learn.

Children need to be nurtured to fully develop their abilities to become real thinkers—to puzzle through problems, to see multiple ways of finding solutions, to gather and weigh evidence, and to apply and test scientific ideas.
They need opportunities to experience the joy of discovery and develop scientific attitudes such as perseverance, risk taking, curiosity, and inventiveness. These skills of inquiry can ultimately equip children with the ability to function effectively as adults, both at work and in the everyday world.

Designed for industrialized economy and assembly line model to “Process kids in batches”. Quote from Sir Ken Robinson –Source TED video.Over the years, we got obsessed with testing, which results in many teachers focusing on teach for the tests and not real learning.
Hands-on experiences and 1:1 personalized time are hard to implement with 25+ students in a class.
Capitalist competition attracts best talent away from low-paid teaching profession.
Public schools in US where 90% of the students attend provide no choice to parents and have no competition.

Class room size is main challenge for a teacher to engage kids in smaller groups or at 1:1 level. It is not practical even for best teachers to personalize teaching. We all know that everyone’s learning style and pace is different.
School resources are dedicated to prove each class room is meeting standards and maximum possible students “PASS” the test.
As a society, we all are obsessed with GRADES and measuring performance of students through standardized tests, which are not designed to measure “True learning or application of knowledge.”

Only 1/3 of our high school students are truly college ready.
5% end up taking engineering in college compared to 20% in china.

Project Based Learning (PBL) done in teams enforces 21st century skills
Projects enable engagement & motivation. When done in small teams, it forces the kids to communicate, build on each other ideas and work together on a common task.
Teams using PBL are very interactive and learn to apply the knowledge and seek answers to many questions that arise during the project.

Enroll Elementary, middle school and high school students. Per month fee is ~$100. Same as Kumon or any other tutoring services.Each Team will have maximum of 7 students. Most learning will be team oriented using IBL & PBL best practices.Living room learning is preferred location. Small team size makes this possible and observation easier for coach (teacher)• Comfortable for all kids. • Cheaper for everyone and less travel needed.

On average typical suburban family spends about $5k-8k on after school programs.
Hard to dedicate time for parents to teach and manage jobs.
Not all parents can teach well and understand online content.
Schools are not equipped to handle 21st century learning challenges.

Reflect on how everyone did since last meeting and discuss ways to improve. Everything must be student centric. - 15 minutes.
Work on quarterly project – 45 minutes. Identify issues, plan and discuss . Assign tasks to be worked offline by everyone. Record the sessions to be used for final video on the project. Plan next week activities and offline work to be done by everyone.
In session challenge – 15 minutes. Discuss a topic that team will research and learn about at home
– 15 minutes.

Bloom identified six levels within the cognitive domain. He effectively broke thinking down into different levels, each building on the previous one, from the most simple to the more abstract. Within this structure learning at the higher levels is dependent on having attained essential knowledge and skills at lower levels.
