Workshop of Dr. Trimble students on over coming test anxiety.
For many students being with other sufferers was a relief and they found they weren’t alone and freaks. They were told to prevent it from getting the
best of them.
Learn to relax: Stretch as hard as you can your muscles then suddenly relax all of them
Don’t want to be too relaxed; There is a optimum level of concern when you perform at your best.
Concentrate on what you can do: If you leave too much studying until before the examination concentrate on what you can do & try to think what questions are likely
During the study: Set a moderate pace Vary it by interspersing reading, writing notes, Going over your notes Review what you know Take breaks & go to sleep in plenty of time to get a good night’s rest before the exam
Eat a moderate breakfast or lunch, avoiding drinks with caffeine Steering clear of follow students who get tense (Panic is contagious.)
