  • Welcome to Learning Leaps for the 2018/2019-year! We are pleased to be able to offer a variety of new and returning programs that meet the simple and important goal of Learning Leaps, which is to provide High Plain students with before and after school programs intended to enrich enhance and educate. While High Plain offers an outstanding educational program during the school day, Learning Leaps is intended to supplement those areas that will broaden the skills and knowledge that our parents and faculty have identified as critical for lifelong success. Most classes will run on a three-term system, with fall, winter and spring offerings. Prior to the start of each term, parents will be notified by email that registration is open. Learning Leaps classes are open to all High Plain students. Each class description will indicate the appropriate age or grade level the class targets and the specific meeting dates. All classes will be filled on a first come, first served, basis. A wait list will be created if necessary. Unless otherwise noted, morning classes will be scheduled from 7:30-8:30 AM, and after school classes will be held from 3:00-4:00 PM. All classes will be held at High Plain Elementary School. Our commitment is to provide a high quality but affordable after-school enrichment program for your child. Class fees will vary based on program expense and materials.

Learning Leaps programs are provided to be educational and fun for all participants. Students participating in the Learning Leaps programs are expected to follow the discipline policies that are in place in for the Andover Public Schools District. When a child's behavior detracts from the enjoyment of others, is disrespectful or presents a danger to the child or others that child will be removed from the remainder of the class. If the inappropriate behavior continues, a parent conference will be arranged. Continued unacceptable behavior will result in the child's removal from the program.

All children must be picked up promptly at the end of the class. In the case of late pick up, there will be a charge of $20 for the first 15 minutes and $20 for every 15 minutes thereafter. Please make arrangements to have your child picked up on time. If you know you will be late please notify the instructor of who will be picking up your child. A limited number of scholarships will be available each term (excluding the High 5 Club). If there is a child who is interested in attending a particular program and in need, please contact our School Principal, Pam Lathrop at [email protected]. Please get involved; parents and grandparents are welcome to get involved too! Learning Leaps welcomes anyone with knowledge to share in a fun way. We need your talent, experience, leadership and teaching participation! If you have a class idea, development suggestions or just want to share some thoughts on how to make this expanded learning program the most engaging, inspiring and valuable that it can be for our children, please contact Jai Mistry. Thank you for your continued support and we hope that you and your children enjoy the new season of Learning Leaps.
