The past two quarters have seen fantastic growth in sales and sponsoring in Reliv Asia Pacific! Many distributors have embraced new approaches to prospecting, signed up more new people and made their businesses soar to greater heights.

I am happy that we have more new leaders who stepped up to the challenge and qualified for the 2017 Reliv Asia Pacific President’s Team. We also have leaders who have been award-ed the prestigious Dr. Ted Plaque and Sandy Montgomery Award. Their hard work and passion to share Reliv are inspiring examples of true leadership.

Reliv leaders make it a point to achieve business milestones, and the next one is the Leadership Camp at the sleek and opulent Conrad Hotel Manila in November. How near are you to qualifying? How many new leaders are you helping to join you in this weekend training? It’s part of our role as leaders to help those who are new in the business to set goals, make a plan of action and encourage them to stay focused.

I have always believed and tried to live up to what my father, Bob Montgomery said: “If you help enough people get what they want, you’ll get what you want.” I have personally witnessed thousands of people achieve success that they once thought impossible, because they have led other people to help realize their dreams as well.

For the next three months, this is my challenge to you: sit down with your new leaders and help them set short-term and long-term goals for their Reliv business, then start working on their targets: using ICSAR, setting appointments, making presentations and helping their prospects to make a positive decision to try Reliv. Along with the excellent Reliv business opportunity, the main focus in this edition of the Reliv Philippines Lifestyle magazine is the incredible results children from all over the country are experiencing from NOW® for Kids (NFK). With this in mind, I decided I would research children overcoming obstacles and the stand-out person for me from this research is Helen Keller.

She was born in 1880 and at the age of 18 months, lost both her sight and hearing through a mysterious illness which also resulted in her being mute. Despite this, throughout her life, Helen accomplished more than most individuals. She learned to speak at nine years old (through using her hands) was the first blind/deaf person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. She also learned German, French and Latin as well as establishing numerous foundations.

Helen could have succumbed to her disabilities but she chose to work with what she had and to be the best she could – “Be happy with what you have, while working for what you want.” Her way was blocked on many occasions, though, by people with unintentional ignorance making her burdens more difficult.

Helen Keller reminds us that the only person we are in control of is ourselves, and it is up to us to accomplish our goals.

In the Philippines there can be many obstacles for children to realise their full potential and for parents to achieve financial independence and provide for their children. Reliv offers solutions for both of these challenges.

One of these is through high quality, optimum nutrition and the other is a Reliv business. The leader who inspires us the most: We have a high regard for well-known businessman and author Robert Kiyosaki. We met him when we were still in the US and we had an opportunity to learn from his inspiring story. We had a lot in common in terms of business failures and successes. He said that when you fail, you should be failing upward not downhill. It means that you have to learn from that experience. He also taught us how to acquire financial wisdom and leverage. And when we did, we started using it every day in our lives.

Our time-tested Reliv business strategy: Help others get what they want and you get what you want. Listen to the people’s needs and help them get what they want in life. Respect people's timing in getting started with the business. Give them time to decide and when they do, work with them.

What did we do differently to qualify for President’s Team?What we did differently this year was to work as a team and better leverage promoting Reliv products to more people. We used the traditional way of meeting with people throughout each month, yet by using social media we were able to reach more than 100,000 people in just one weekend. We set a goal to not only double our 2016 income but to increase it to 2.5 times of what we made last year. We surpassed our 2017 goal in just the first quarter.
