My Hero Learning Circles

My Hero Learning Circles is a joint venture between Learning Circles and the My Hero project (www.myhero.com). This Circle brings together students and teachers who are interested in collaborating with other schools from diverse areas of the the world on the topic of My Hero through writing, art, audio and digital video.

Schedule for Learning Circles

Session 1 (September to January):Begins late September and ends in mid-January (16weeks with a 2-week break in December). LearningCircle Placement forms are due in early September.Session 2 (January to May):Begins late January and ends in late May (15 weekswith a 1-week break in Spring). Learning CirclePlacement forms are due early January.

How To Become a Participant?To join MY HERO Learning Circles, you must first be a member of iEARN and complete an iEARN Learning Circle placement form (https://collaborate.iearn.org/space-25) at least two weeks before the beginning of the session. Once you complete the placement form, you will be contacted by email in order to confirm your information and to determine your correct MY HERO Circle placement.

Call to ActionBack by popular demand: Announcing a CALL TO ACTION MY HERO Learning Circle in session 1. The goal of this Circle is for students and teachers to create and document an action plan to support the work of an identified Hero(es) or create a local initiative to continue or support the actions of an existing organization. There will be online Training Sessions with our head of MEDIA and LC Facilitator for Teachers on HOW TO use our multi-media resources. Join us!
