• Navigate the Learner Home Page, creating PGPs, and access observation data from informal and formal observations.

STEP 5: Implementation and Monitoring:•Informal/Formal Observations, Mid and End of Year Meetings•Adjusting goals as necessary and providing ongoing supports

Pre-Populated Training Goals and BloomList

• Based on which evaluation processes and BloomBoard functionality that is required for the beginning of the school year, Sticky Notes are pre-populated with related training goals. The BloomList is then populated with training videos and other support materials.

• Teachers can access these training goals independently or collaboratively with other teachers at their site.

Complete your Learner Self Assessment

Action Think AboutComplete your Learner Self Assessment (Step 1) from your ePortfolio under the AE&R tab.

• Opening each element to view the proficiency criteria before your rate.

Create a snapshot of your self assessment.

• Make sure that each element has a blue bar indicating your rating.

• Name the file PGP Leaner Self Assessment.

What are the underlying values in your evaluation system?Write a Goal

Action Think AboutStart a new goal and draft areas of strength and areas for growth on notecards (Step 1).

• What other data beyond the TESS framework will help to inform the selection of your PGP goal?

Draft a goal on a sticky note (Step 2).

• Make sure that you are creating a high level synthesis statement for your goal – stay under 100 characters.

Complete the prompts for your goal including alignment to the framework (Step 1 and 3).

• Did you align your goal to the elements on the TESS framework (show up as orange tabs)?

• Do you know how you’ll measure your success?

Action Think AboutAdd a resource from the Marketplace to the goal and designate a completion date (Step 4).

• Use additional filtering tools to find the ‘just right’ resource. BloomBoard is already filtering by the TESS framework element associated with your PGP goal.

Create a BloomList item in support of the goal (Step 4).

• What activities/supports outside of the marketplace will help you achieve your PGP goal?

Step 5:

Accessing an Informal Observation

Access the Ratings screen and Feedback and Next Steps from the sample informal observation: •What do you see in the evidence? •What specific recommendations does your observer make for you? •Based on this evidence and feedback, what might some additional next steps be for you as a learner?

Uploading Artifacts

• Artifacts provide context for the observer. They “tell the story” of the lesson.

• What types of artifacts might you want to upload to provide a greater context of a lesson for the observer?

Action Think AboutAccess the informal observation for July 7 and upload a document from your computer in the artifacts activity. Share the artifact.

• If you wanted to upload a second artifact, what would you do?

Tag evidence from the artifact and include a comment.

• Is there a part of this document that you’d like to highlight for your observer?

Formal Observations

• Review Process flow for the Formal Observation (pg. 7 in your guide) with a partner and discuss the following: – What are your main responsibilities as a learner

while participating in the formal observation? – How does the formal observation process compare

to other process we’ve already practiced (I.e., similar or different steps, functionality in BloomBoard, etc.)?

• Highlight any new functionality that the learner will need to know in order to participate in this process.

Action Think AboutAccess the formal observation for July 11 – 18. Look at the pre-conference meeting and complete indicated questions on the Pre-Conference Form.

• Have you shared your Pre-Conference Form?

Access the Ratings tab at the top of the screen and enter some ratings for some of the elements.

• Is there a comment that you would like to leave to justify a specific rating?

• Have you shared your ratings with your observer?

MarketPlace Scavenger Hunt

• Use the filtering options in the MarketPlace to find a resource for each of the topics in the Scavenger Hunt.

– Either record the resource on your graphic organizer or add it to your BloomList

• Recommend at least one of the resources that you find to a colleague.

• Debrief of the MarketPlace: – How do you envision using the MarketPlace

to support your own growth this year? – General thoughts/Comments
