Yearbooks are $15.00 each and payment should be sent payable to LES. You may also purchase them online through Skyward Fee Management. The fee management link is on the left side in Skyward Family Access. This location in Skyward will also display any previous yearbook purchase, whether by credit card, cash, or check. To make an online purchase, select “make online payment”. Select “Update Payment Amount”. Add “yearbook” and “update cart”. “Pay with Vendor” and follow Rev Track instructions. Upper Grades Going to the Coterie On Thursday, March 29, 2018 students in third, fourth and fifth will attend the stage play, “Tuck Everlasting” at The Coterie at Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The students will travel by bus, and they will be gone from school around 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on that day. They will eat lunch before the show begins at noon. Please send a sack lunch and drink with your child’s name clearly labeled on it. State Assessments Start this Month State Assessments for 3 rd , 4 th , and 5 th grade will begin on March 14 and will run through April 24. We do not want our students to be anxious about taking the tests, but we do want them to realize the importance of exerting their best effort. Please help your child prepare for testing days by making sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat a good breakfast, and arrive at school on time. This is a time of challenging schedules and we would appreciate your help by understanding the importance of prompt daily attendance. Please watch for your teacher’s newsletter with more detailed information about the assessment schedule. Second and Third Grade Music Program—KidFlix After several delays, the Second and Third Grade Music Program is scheduled for Thursday, March 8, 6:30 p.m. in the LES gymnasium. Attire: Nice jeans, slacks and nice shirt. Ladies may wear a dress.

Kindergarten Roundup We are currently collecting names for our 2018-2019 Kindergarten class. If you know of anyone in our area that will be five on or before August 31, 2018, please contact us or let others know to do so. Kindergarten Roundup will be coming up soon (Wednesday, April

11 & Thursday, April 12) and we want to make sure that we reach all the potential kindergarten families. The parent meeting will be held Monday, March 26 at 7 p.m.

Trucks and Pups Basehor-Linwood JAG-K students are hosting Trucks and Pups on Sunday, March 11, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This high school group is raising money to benefit local animal shelters by having a pet adoption day, food trucks and family activities at the high school. Admission is $3 or one donated item. The wanted donations include dog food, cat food, cat litter, pet bedding and cleaning solutions.
