Driving cars has become a very common phenomenon these days. There are many
rules that one should follow while they are behind the wheels. One should never
take driving or the rules for granted. These rules and regulations are made and
designed for the safety of the drivers and the co-passengers. However, young kids
and some adults tend to overlook the importance of these safety rules that they
must otherwise follow so that they do not have to regret later. Some people who
drive regularly might think that they do not break signals nor do they violate any
traffic signal. So, all of these factors make them good and obedient drivers. But, there
is much more to the traffic than just the above mentioned few factors. To know

Use of mobile phones
People might generally think that the use of mobile phones while driving is fine. On
the contrary, use of mobile phones while driving is an offence under law. One is not
supposed to use their mobile phones for either calling or texting while they drive. It
is also a punishable offence if one uses their mobile phone while the engine of the
car is kept on. Under the law, if it is absolutely for the person to use their mobile
phone or any other electronic gadget for that matter, must make sure that they stop
their vehicle completely, put off the engine and then make calls or text. Once, they
complete using their mobile phone, they must put it back and then start driving.
However, it is very common that people use their gadgets while they drive. This can
prove to be fatal for them as well as the other around them. it is a crime under law to
send texts or e-mails while driving. So, in case one is caught while using their phone,
they could be be charged fine and also be given some or the other punishment. So, it
is advised that people take absolute care while they drive.
Smoking is an offence too
It might not sound like any offence or problem, but it also an offence to smoke while
driving. There are certain rules that one needs to follow while they drive. In many
countries, it is illegal to light a smoke in the car. Just in case, the driver is caught, then
both the driver and the other passengers might have to pay a fine to the government.
Fortunately, not very many people oppose to this punishable offence, o we find or
notice a substantial number of people smoking while they drive or travel in a car.
Smoking can prove to be fatal for the safety of the passengers as well as the car. So, it
is more than necessary for people to take care of such habits.

Drug driving
This might or might not be a common thing to notice in a few countries. But, drug
driving is a crime under law. Drugs might not have any immeditate effects on the
driver but it is fatal for the passengers and the drver at some point or the other.
Drugs are very harmful substances for the body so they must be avoided under any
kind of circumstances. Some medicines also contain certain drugs that might prove to
be harmful while driving so one must be sure of the medicines that they are taking.
Also, if their medicines have certain drugs that are prohibited for driving, they must
not drive for a while after taking these medicines.
Wearing seatbelts is compulsory
Wearing seatbelts is one of the most commonly understood yet the most important
rule that everybody should follow. Seatbelts ensure they safety of the driver and the
other passengers. These belts can easily prevent any fatal or dangerous injury. If one
is not wearing the seatbelt, the slightest of a jerk or any jolt can cause them certain
injuries. Many people often tend to ignore the importance of these belts and
underrate them leading to certain mishaps that give them a solid and hard lesson to
learn.
Thus, it is absolutely necessary that people follow all of the above-mentioned simple
yet very important rules for safe driving.
