Ex: see /si:/=ver

Ex: Eat /i:t/=comer .

Ex: food /fu:d/=comida- school /sku:l/=escuela

Ex:

8 Lesson eight

“Simple Present Do-Does”

Grammar.

-Do & Does son verbo auxiliares.

Ex: - We watch tv every night… Sentence.

- Do we watch tv every night?...question

-yes, we do. /no, we don’t…….short answers.

-yes, we watch tv every night….affirmative long answer.

-no, we don’t watch tv every night…negative long answer.

Do/du:/ I, you, we, they.

Does/dлz/ he, she, it.

-Does se usa con he, she, it. Y cuando no esté el ‘Does’ se le agrega ‘s’ or ‘es’ al verbo.

Add ‘es’ to the verbs ending in ‘x, s, sh, ch, o, z’.

cambia a studies la 3ra persona singular (he, she, it).

Ex: My mom works in the hospital….sentence.

Does your mom (she) work in the hospital?...question

Yes, she works in the hospital…affirmative long answer.

No, she doesn’t work in the hospital…..Negative long answer.

Ex:

-I go to London about three times a week.

-My parents live in Denver.

-Water freezes at 0° Celsius.

Cuando se habla de programas y horarios.

The train arrives at 7:45

I start work tomorrow.

44

44

Pronombre interrogativo+auxiliar+sujeto+verbo+complemento?

Los P.I. son: what, who, where, when, how, which, etc.

Where do you live?

p.i aux suj verb

GRAMMAR: THEREIS/ THERE ARE. ANY/SOME.

There is……..Singular There are……Plural

For asking questions the verb BE is at the beginning:

Is there any…? Are there any…?

ANY/SOME are determiners used before uncountable and plural nouns. Before another determiner or a pronoun you must use some of/any of.

In English it is usual to use ‘some’ in affirmative clauses and ‘any’ in questions and

negations. Ex:

Do you have any aspirins?....Yes, I have some aspirins.

I need some medicine.

And we use ‘some’ in questions if we expect or want people to answer ‘yes’. For

example, in offers and requests.

Ex: Do you want some ice cream?

Do you have some money that I can borrow?

We use ‘any’ after words that have a negative meaning: for example: never, hardly,

without.

Ex: you never give me any help.

We got there without any trouble.

There’s hardly any tea left.

We use ‘any/some’ when we are talking about small quantities. Or in uncertain,

indefinite numbers.

Ex: Do you have any animals?

Would you like some more ice cream?

Song Lyrics:

Track 71. (Everything I Do) I Do It For You Bryan Adams

Look into my eyes you will see, What you mean to me. Search your heart, search your soul, And when you find me there, You'll search no more. Don't tell me it's not worth tryin' for. You can't tell me it's not worth dyin' for. You know it's true. Everything I do, I do it for you. Look into your heart, you will find, There's nothin' there to hide. Take me as I am. Take my life. I would give it all. I would sacrifice. Don't tell me it's not worth fightin' for. I can't help it, there's nothin' I want more. You know it's true. Everything I do, I do it for you. Oh, yeah. There's no love like your love. And no other could give more love. There's nowhere, unless you're there. All the time, all the way. Yay. Look into your heart, baby. Oh, you can't tell me it's not worth tryin' for. I can't help it, there's nothin' I want more. Yeah, I would fight for you, I'd lie for you. Walk the wire for you,

Yeah, I'd die for you. You know it's true. Everything I do, oh, I do it for you.

Track 72. Take My Hand (Simple Plan) Hey Hey Hey Hey Sometimes I feel like everybody's got a problem Sometimes I feel like nobody wants to solve them I know that people say we're never gonna make it But I know we're going to get through this (Close your eyes and please don't let me go) Don't, Don't, Don't, Don't let me go now (Close your eyes don't let me let you go) Don't, Don't, Don't
