What is Leadership Mountain View (LMV)

• Community and Interpersonal Leadership

– In its 23 years of existence, LMV has evolved from learning the ABCs of how the city works, into becoming a community of leaders helping to direct the future of Mountain View.

– From leaders of industry to leaders of the household, to neighborhood organizers to civic organizers, all of us are a part of the Leadership Mountain View family

– Our City @ City Hall / Library

– Business @ Rengstorff House

– Health and Human Services @ El Camino Hospital

– Diversity @ Google

– Education @ Computer History Museum

– Arts & Media @ MVCPA / KMVT

– Public Safety @ FS4 / Police HQ

What is Leadership Mountain View (LMV)

• Interaction with business, community and thought leaders

– 70+ presenters over the course of 9 months

• Elected officials (City, County and State)

• City leaders

• CEOs, VPs and Directors

• Non-Profit leaders

• Community leaders

What is Leadership Mountain View (LMV)

• Time Commitment– 9.5 program days

• 1 Friday a month (September through May)

• Full business day (8am-5pm)

• 1 Saturday morning session at Fire Station (April)

• Must attend 7 of 9 program days

– Community Service Project• 10 hours dedicated to project

• Presentation of project in May

• Graduation Requirement

– Attend 7 of 9 program days

– Complete community service project

– Complete monthly feedback forms

• Phone interview in late July/early August

• Acceptance letters emailed in mid-August

• Class starts on Friday, September 21 @ Microsoft
