How did it all start?• In 2006, The Southwest
Wisconsin Transit Team (SWTT) was formed to explore ways to collaborate and improve existing transportation services, employing a regional approach to the provision of transportation services for area residents.

LIFTWisDOT awarded SWTT a New Freedom grant for 2008. SWTT
hired a MM in February, and named the program LIFTLeadership in Innovative Flexible Transportation
LIFT is housed and supported by the Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program (SWCAP)
