and world!to change yourcommunity,
The MASC/MAHS Summer Leadership Camps are projects of the MASC/MAHS Student Leadership Organization. Don’t let the name fool you, camp is made for ANY student leader in ANY activity from ANY middle or high school in Michigan. Our four-day (middle level) or six-day (high school) residential camps allow students from all different backgrounds and involvements to come together and talk about issues that they face as a “student leader” in their schools, their communities, and ultimately, our world. Both the Senior High School (SHS) Leadership Camp and the Junior High and Middle Level (JAM) Camp are open to ANY student who has experiences or is considering a role as a leader.
In 2013, we will be located on the gorgeous campus of
Central Michigan University, smack in the middle of lower
Michigan. Housed in individual “councils” of 15-18 students at their camp, participants will have the
opportunity to learn about group dynamics, show their
group spirit, and create lifelong friendships with those
that they work with throughout the week.
Who should come?
student government members, drama
enthusiasts, diversity club members,
school spirit enthusiasts, honor
society inductees, link crew, music
and performance leaders, bookworms, game-changers,
athletes, aspiring athletes,
captains, hipsters, Beliebers...
religious students, non-religious
students, foreign language speakers,
performers, attention seekers,
peace-makers, techies, media
students, color guard, optimists,
dreamers, people aspiring to do any
of these things...students who care
about their school!
Michigan needs to solidify the
future. You are that future.
You are the here and now,
the game-changers in your
school, in your clubs and
activities, and ultimately in our
communities and state. If you are taking the
challenge with us, get ready to ASK yourself
WHAT you are passionate about, HOW you
can make a change in your surroundings, and WHO
you are going to need to help you along the way.
