ECIO 2017April 23-26Bilbao, Spain

European Conference on Interventional Oncology

The world’s premier interventional oncology meeting

In April 2016, an eagerly anticipated and tremendously successful European Conference on Interventional Oncology (ECIO 2016) took place in the culturally booming city of Dublin, Ireland. Having attracted a record number of participants the year before, ECIO 2016 again proved to be the premier choice of physicians wanting to stay on top of the latest treatment practices and medical devices, as well as providing an excellent opportunity to network with renowned medical experts in the field of interventional oncology.

With 1,329 participants from 68 countries worldwide, ECIO 2016 experienced its most successful year yet as it continues to cater for a growing interest from not only interventional radiologists, but also from medical oncologists, oncologic surgeons, hepatologists and other referring physicians.

To foster further collaboration with other societies, ECIO 2016 hosted a meeting with the Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR). ECIO 2016 also featured speakers from the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) in the scientific programme. Through such collaboration, medical consensus and quality-assurance standards in interventional oncology are upheld and developed.

Industry Participation in Dublin 2016

ECIO 2016 enjoyed overwhelming support from our industry partners, who helped us host the largest technical exhibition yet. Furthermore, industry partners contributed significantly to the scientific programme through their satellite symposia; again, the most ever held at an ECIO congress, featuring 12 individual sessions and, for the first time, an industry symposium on the final day of the congress.

It is hugely encouraging to see the growing interest in supporting this relatively young discipline.

ECIO 2016 continued with a "flow model" approach: by locating the technical exhibition between the two main auditoria, delegates could easily and conveniently access our industry partners’ booths when not in lecture sessions.

A private room for more discreet company meetings (both internal and external) was offered as a learning centre/hospitality suite within close walking distance of the technical exhibition. Several industry partners also made use of the convenient location of meeting rooms to hold internal staff meetings. ECIO 2017 in Bilbao will be no different, where we aim to provide our industry partners with the same platforms for engagement that they have come to expect from the meeting.

Join us at ECIO 2017 in Bilbao

We cordially extend a warm invitation to participate at ECIO 2017, hosted in the architecturally rich city of Bilbao, Spain from April 23-26. "Take advantage of the invaluable opportunities that ECIO 2017 will offer and be a part of the world’s premier educational event devoted to interventional oncology!"

In this brochure you will find all relevant information on the sponsoring options available for ECIO 2017. In the event you wish to discuss further options not listed or would like to explore ideas you may have, please do not hesitate to reach out to our marketing team at [email protected]. Alternatively, the latest updates regarding ECIO will be made available on the official website: www.ecio.org

We look forward to welcoming you in Bilbao!

HOTEL & ACCOMMODATION ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

Important information regardinghotel & accommodation bookings

As from 2017, hotel accommodation for representatives staffing exhibitor booths must be requested through the official ECIO housing bureau, Kuoni Destination Management.

Adequate hotel rooms have been blocked for exhibitor staff at the official ECIO 2017 hotels. All Exhibitors are kindly requested to submit the Exhibitor Hotel Booking Request Form at your earliest convenience and the latest together with the sub-mission of your Application for Sponsorship and Exhibition Space Booking Form.

As this is a mandatory requirement, hotel rooms reserved by any other method than through the official ECIO housing bureau will be considered a violation of ECIO rules and regulations and may result in your company losing eligibility to exhibit at the congress.

In order to simplify and make the total booking process more efficient, hotel and accommodation information has been included in this brochure, along with the corresponding request form. You can now plan your ECIO participation in Bilbao more effectively, knowing all the relevant information and booking forms can be found in one place.

Please note that in the past complications arose from hotel bookings made through fraudulent third parties, who were unable to deliver on offers made. As the number of such offers have increased recently we strongly recommend you to make all your hotel accommodation bookings for ECIO through Kuoni Destination Management.

We would like to thank you for your cooperation in our efforts to appropriately plan and block the necessary hotels in advance and thus provide you with a robust and cost effective service enhancing the congress experience for your staff accordingly.
