usUFA Super Learning Days (1 day)These off-timetable days enable groups of young people to discover how they learn best. Super Learning Days (SLDs) can be themed – Maths, Creativity, Technology, or Revision - SLDs create an experience so distinct from everyday school that lasting individual and school-wide impact is assured.

UFA Summer Challenges (1-2 days)*A UFA Summer Challenge provides a fantastic extended opportunity for young people to develop their skills, motivation and confidence. This training explores the UFA Challenge framework to design an intensive holiday programme to extend and enrich learning, to build self-belief and improve attitude and behaviours.

UFA Clubs (1 day)Train to lead high quality extended learning activities for young people to enrich and increase the range of available learning opportunities outside of the school day. UFA Clubs are underpinned by the UFA learning model and are based around a particular focus e.g. UFA’s ‘THINK! Kits’, Challenge, ‘Learning to Learn’ activities, supporting homework and coursework, team building and extension and enrichment activities.

UFA Team Challenge! (1 day)Train to lead a 2 day programme designed to develop and progress the personal skills of young people to be leaders and team players. The programme focuses on team work and the different roles individuals can take in a team, leading a team and the coaching of self and others.

UFA Peer Tutors (1 day)Train to lead a 2 day programme designed to develop young people as Peer Tutors who support the learning of their peers. Peer Tutors develop their own learning skills as well as the peers they support. Whether for primary or secondary age students, the outcome is always a rise in standards and student achievement.

UFA Lead Learners (2 days)Train to run a 3 day programme to develop young people as leaders of learning. Young people gain skills and confidence to set up, run and evaluate their own learning clubs or curriculum activity for other young people. Young people develop an understanding of learning to learn processes and become excellent role models.

UFA Young Researchers & Evaluators (1 day)Train to lead a 3 day programme for young people to develop their skills in research and evaluation and become confident to lead a project which evaluates some aspect of your school/organisation. Young people will agree a research question, develop their own methodology to gather findings which they analyse and then present recommendations to the organisation’s leadership team.

Working with parents & carers (1-2 days)*A choice of 2 programmes:• Helping My Child to Learn• Supporting My Teen to LearnTrain to lead a 10-12 hour programme to introduce parents and carers to a range of learning to learn strategies that would support their children to become more effective, successful learners and to overcome barriers to learning.
