Role Title Lead Magento Developer

Overview

Due to market demand, Maginus are on the lookout for a lead Magento developer to join their eCommerce team. This is an excellent opportunity for a full-stack developer with experience of working in a lead role, or for a senior developer looking to take the next step in their career. It’s a rare opportunity to join the business and instantly ‘own’ the technical delivery of projects. You will have the say in how things should be delivered, and the trust will be put in you that those technical solutions are the best way forward for both Maginus and the client.

What you’ll be doing You will be the main technical lead across the whole Maginus Magento portfolio, which includes existing clients but also new greenfield projects. The role will not only involve leading the development team but will also require getting hands-on with code. In addition to technical experience, genuine enthusiasm is key to this role. We want to hear from applicants who enjoy researching the area, proactively furthering their skills and sharing and debating new ideas. The candidate needs to work well in a multi-disciplined team as we have a range of skills and abilities in-house. You will need to be well versed in communicating complex, technical matters, in a clear and concise manner. Within the current team, collaboration is paramount. This is a virtue that we want to continue and grow with the Magento team.

What we’re looking for

• Digital Agency experience in Magento 2 (Latest version 2.3.1 preferred) • Experience of working with Magento Cloud • A confident and proactive self-starter • Someone that has no problem speaking directly to clients • Understanding problems, requirements and turning those into solutions • Experience of extending the Magento Bulk API framework and/or creating

custom API endpoints would be highly advantageous • Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise work based on team

objectives • Experience of working with offshore development teams in different time zones • Sound understanding of delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall

Technical Skills & Experience • PHP • MySQL • HTML 5, XHTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Foundation, Bootstrap • Github, Gitlab • Experience with SVN and confident using Git for version control • Experience working with CMS packages • Understanding of component-based development to ensure reusability and

extendibility
