Collection SS 2013 reveals the Premiere Edition of PonchoBikini “ Le Papier “ Numero 1

In the year 2001 the con-cept of creating PonchoBikini was born in a lovely restau-rant called " Blue Moon" in Milano. Being a mother of four lovely children it took me until April 2010 to put the website and shop online present-ing the first Collection

of PonchoBikini. From that summer onwards European Hot Spots like Club 55 St Tropez and the Blue Marlin in Ibiza sell the Collection.The idea was to combine 2 opposites namely Ponchos(Winter) and

B i k i n i s ( S u m m e r ) Now in 2012 Pon-cho has become a synonym for the Winter Collection and Bikini for the Resort Summer Collection.PonchoBIkini is a result of my education and sources of in-spiration.

As a young child I trained my dance at the pre-school of the Ballet Conservatory in the Netherlands and I later stud-ied Film & Photography at the LCP

in London. Bringing these in-spirations together in a magi-cal journey that PonchoBikini has taken me on.My work as a producer of TV

commercials has given me the stamina to deal with the

hysterical deadlines that come with working in Fashion. My intentions are to discover the flow of my creativity in the buzz of

the Cities and on the Beaches of Formen-tera.

So far it has been crazy and spectacular and at the same time...no balance yet .Learning and making mistakes every day, yet somehow i have been able to design my third Collection SS 2013 which i proudly present in this Newspaper “ Le

Papier”

The most prominent feature in my Collection for next year are the Hindu Gods. I have a deep appreciation for their existence and the inspiration they have given me. I have let the insights inspire me to choose the fabrics and

colours for this collection.The silks, cottons, linen and leather in vibrant colours like green, yellow, pink, black and white.The chosen four Hindu Gods in my collection are Shiva,Ganesha, Lakshmi and Vishnu each one of them

carries a meaning and mes-sage for the beholder to rec-ognise and nurture. I hope to inspire all to a more respectful and peaceful Earth with these storytelling images.

I am great-ful that the Dutch press pub-lished my de-signs from day 1 in many top m a g a z i n e s like; ELLE, G L A M O U R , L ’ O F F I C I E L , LINDA, GLOSSY, PARK, METRO MODE and last but not least VOGUE NL.Presenting my Collections at the MeMy Mode has definitely increased my visibility World-wide and given me the oppor-tunity to be in-

troduced to Buyers and Press that have helped my label PonchoBikini to grow internationally.From Tokyo to New York from Paris to London.With this Collection “ EST = OUEST ” I hope to break even more boundaries and surprise all with an authentic and inspiring theme “Hindu Gods”Sharing culture with respect and appreciation is what intend to do.
