He envision new and unique role for the artist/architect and the city planner that closely adhered to the capitalist spirit. Put simply,

Corbusiers initial encounter with the large complex city of Paris convinced him of the need for modern housing and a modern

city. Partly, this was a response to what he called the chaos around him AS WELLL AS SHOWING EMPHASIS ON HIS 5POINTS

Courbuiser view on utopia according to him relies on a structural modular gridset up of a city. (For example 3 million inhabitants sketch proposal for Paris.) Asshown composed of skyscrapers allowing for less chaos. Yet, his vision of theutopia has only been reflected in sketches since these were hypothetical and

never made into a reality. We will be highlighting his hypothetical creations andhis efect in other architects and their perception on urban planning.
