School Proposal

• Two Story High School: 305,000+/- SF with P.E. Fields

and Lighted Athletic Competition Fields (Stadium,

Baseball, Softball, Tennis); 1800 student capacity;

Planned Opening Fall 2020

• Two Story Elementary School: 105,000+/- SF with P.E.

Fields (rectangular and soft ball); 928 student capacity;

opportunity for additional fields beyond PE program;

Planned Opening Fall 2023

County Public Use Site

•30+ Acre Site

•Anticipated Use: Public Park

•Conceptual Layout proposes lighted community ballfields

•Site could be utilized for alternate public uses

•Site will be reviewed through County’s Capital Improvement Program for use and funding

•Site to be subdivided and owned by Board of Supervisors

Site Access

•Lightridge Road to Braddock Road

•Braddock Road is planned as a 2-lane road between Northstar Blvd. and Rt. 15

•Separate Bus from other school traffic

• Improvements to be determined at Site Plan

•Anticipate right-of-way dedication

•Construction of Lightridge Road from Braddock across site frontage

• Intersection and turn lane improvements

Site Access Adjustments

•Most northerly entranced shifted south approximately 150+ feet and is primary access for teachers, parents & students

• Park entrance moved from northern access to southern access

•Northern access road will terminate at stadium complex instead of crossing floodplain to public use site

• Southern access used for both buses and the park

• Southern access separated from the bus loop

Site layout

School buildings and associated fields have been adjusted to:

•Accommodate change in access and increased buffering

•Recognize field delineated wetlands (8.51 acres)

County Public Use Site

•Majority of wooded area on northern portion of Public Use site to be preserved

•Proposed play area (passive recreation uses) will be located within the wooded area

•Fields have been relocated out of wooded area

•Emergency access will be via extension of high school parking lot

Tree Save Area

•Active recreation fields shifted to the south

•Softball field removed

•Large rectangular fields aligned to increase sports opportunities

Buffering

• Increased buffers along northern boundary adjacent to high school stadium complex

• Six-foot high berm with landscaping on top added to increase buffers between school athletic fields/stadium and Willowsford park and residences

•Buffers located to fill in gaps where there is no existing tree line
