Austin, known as the Live Music Capital of theWorld, is a vibrant city nestled deep in the heartof Texas and committed to doing everything biggerand better. Gibson Guitar is proud to present AustinGuitarTown, a Texas-sized community arts projectcreated to bring the artists, musicians and Austincommunity together to spotlight the importance ofmusic and the arts while raising money for four localnonprofit organizations.

Thirty-five exquisite 10-foot tall Gibson Guitar sculptures, each designed by localvisual artists and many autographed by famed Texas musicians and celebrities,are now being displayed throughout the city and will be auctioned in the fall of2007. Thirty-five showcase guitars, also designed by local artists, will bepublicly displayed and auctioned as well. Those benefiting from the projectinclude: American Youthworks, Austin Children’s Museum, Austin Museum ofArt (AMOA) and Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM).
