The 2007 Coca-Cola Circle City Classic will feature Florida A&M University versus Winston-SalemState University in what will be the last Classic played in the RCA Dome. In 2008, the Circle CityClassic will celebrate it’s 25th Anniversary in the brand new Lucas Oil Stadium, which is current-ly under construction. The state-of-the-art facility will also serve as the new home of theIndianapolis Colts, NFL Super Bowl Champions!

The Florida A&M University Rattlers and The Marching 100, Circle City Classic fan favorites willreturn to Indy for their sixth appearance in the Circle City Classic. Under the leadership of headcoach and former Denver Bronco great, Rubin Carter, the Rattlers completed a successful returnto the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) finishing 7-4 overall last season. The Rattlers’Classic history includes two wins, two defeats and one tie with victories over Hampton andJackson State. Florida A&M attracts large crowds as their last three appearances were played infront of sold out or near capacity crowds in the RCA Dome.

The Winston-Salem State University Rams, the newest members of the MEAC will be making theirfirst appearance in Circle City Classic. While known for its late, legendary basketball coach,Clarence “Big House” Gaines and Earl “The Pearl” Monroe, this former Central IntercolligiateAthletic Association powerhouse has produced several past and current NFL players includingYancey Thigpen, Oronde Gadsden, and Richard Huntley. The Rams from Winston-Salem, NorthCarolina are coached by Kermit Blount. They are looking to upset the Rattlers after defeating MEAC members, North Carolina A&T State and Howard, last season.
