I. Call to Order/Roll CallMembers Present: Mayor Stan Booker, Michael Cleghorn, Jesse Cross, Paul Ellwanger,Barry Ezerski, Clarence Fortney, Tim Hushbeck, Philip D. Kennedy, Jim Landmark, Dr.John McArthur, Ron Nance, Krista Ratcliff, Richard Rogalski, Mark Scott, Rick Walker.Also, in attendance was Brad Cooksey, Jeannie Bowden, and Tonja Anderson.Members Absent: Kelly Edwards, Arthur Patrick, and Joe Gallagher

III. Consider approval of March 8, 2021, MinutesACTION: Mr. Walker moved to approve March 8, 2021 minutes. Mr. Cross secondedthe motion. The motion passed unanimously; a copy of minutes is attached.

IV. Consider approval of March 2021 FinancialsACTION: Mr. Ellwanger presented the financials. Mr. Ezerski moved to approve theMarch 2021 financials; Mr. Hushbeck seconded the motion. The motion passedunanimously; a copy of financials is attached.

V. Reports

President’s Report RFP Chart - Mr. Cooksey presented the RFP Chart. LEDC has been giving the Lawton City Council updates to keep them informed. Current and Upcoming Events – OU EDI, Site Selectors’ Guild, SEDC Conference, Logistics & Transportation, and Women in Economic Development InSite Professional Development – Mr. Cooksey updated the Board on the InSite Development, which is complete and potentially have InSite present at the May board meeting.

Chairman’s Report FY 22 Budget & Funding – LEDC funding looks to be the same as last year with funding to be through CIP funds and not hotel/motel. Council Updates on LEDC Projects & Activities – LEDC gave an update to City Council members. FY 22 Officers & Board Members – Mr. Kennedy presented an update on the 2021/2022 slate of officers and board members. City of Lawton Resolution – The Chairman shared information about a City of Lawton resolution that defines the roles for economic development.

A. Consider approval of the monthly activity report. ACTION: Mr. Walker moved to approve the monthly activity report; Mr. Scott seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously; a copy of the report is attached.

The Lawton-Fort Sill Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) closed the month of March by promoting Lawton-Fort Sill, pursuing new business, and assisting local companies

to expand their job base.

We responded to 8 new leads for the month of March.

We continue to monitor and work our leads as they move forward. We are seeing a large increase in our project activity. Our staff is pushing towards the finish line on several of these projects. We will

continue to keep you posted on any new happenings.
