All of these individually taught skills combine to help students who struggle socially to make and keep friends. Lawrence School is proud to be the only northeast Ohio provider of PEERS, with six certified PEERS instructors on staff. Please note that not all students may be appropriate for PEERS. Those selected for the program must be motivated to improve interpersonal skills and want to make and keep friends. The program requires that homework assignments be completed by both students and parents throughout the course of the eight weeks. Students and families must commit to completing these assignments consistently before enrollment. An intake and screening process is required of all applicants, as is pre and post-testing of skills to determine program effectiveness.
