Personal Details: Date of Birth: 17 June 1959 Nationality: British Experience Professor Lawrence Haddad is Director of the Institute of Development Studies. Prior to that for 10 years he was the Director of the Food Consumption and Nutrition Division at IFPRI. An economist, his main research interests are at the intersection of poverty, food insecurity and malnutrition. He is the UK’s representative on the Steering Committee of the High Level Panel of Experts (HLPE) of the UN's Committee on World Food Security. He has published extensively in peer reviewed outlets on these topics and is currently supervising research on the enabling environment for undernutrition reduction.
