The job is in a pleasant work environment and the stress level is in line with an administrative position. Research Law Librarian: This position has the education requirement of a Masters of Library Science (MLS) and the experience varies a bit to include previous research work. The Research Law Librarian is in charge of developing training programs that teach research in the Library to new users. In addition to training, the Research Librarian promotes researches to use the library services available and continually looks for new developments and modes of research that the library can incorporate to keep current. The salary will be based on experience and location and can range from $30K to $60K. Reference Law Librarian: The Reference Law Librarian position is responsible for all the duties of reference services that include collection development, public services, and bibliographic reference training for students in virtual and real environments, library webpage maintenance can be required of the reference librarian and needs assessments for the reference department. The position requires an MLS degree or a JD as an equivalent. Experience is usually specific to the job details.
