Tomahawk instructors are retired tier one operators from the special operations community and hand-selected law enforcement officers. Each

PATROL OFFICER TACTICAL RESPONSE (POTR)

The Patrol Officer Tactical Response course is designed to train patrol officers on

basic two- and four-person team tactics, the fundamentals of search and contact

teams, and prioritizing threats through scenario-based training exercises. Additionally,

POTR will provide officers with standard operating procedures (SOPs) for coordinating

with other officers and first responders. Ultimately, the goal of this course is to ensure

all officers have a common foundation for operating in tactical environments, thereby

improving officer safety, civilian safety, and response efficiency.

CQC SWAT/ESU

Tomahawk provides courses of instruction in Hostage Rescue and Methodical Clearance

CQC that will refine, re-establish, or develop a unit’s tactical SOPs, ensuring every

officer is uniformly trained on the same tactics and methods—tactics refined over

years of combat lessons learned from a tier one national mission force.

BOMB TECH/EOD

Current trends indicate that active shooters are increasingly likely to utilize IEDs,

explosives, or bomb making material. This emerging threat has led to rapid emersion

of the bomb technician into Emergency Services Units (ESU) or Special Weapons and

Tactics Teams (SWAT).

Tomahawk’s training will prepare bomb technicians to work alongside tactical teams

and handle modern explosive devices. Our team specializes in suicide vests, impedance

to assault, booby traps, movement of personnel around a suspicious object in a tactical

situation, and the complete integration of the bomb technician into small tactical

units. At Tomahawk, trainers have years of experience working as bomb technicians as

part of special operations units.

FIREARMS INSTRUCTION

We offer firearms instruction that is tailored to your individual or organizational

needs. Our instructors have decades of firearms experience while dealing with real

world opposition. From Pistol, Long Gun, or Conceal Carry, we have the programs to

take you to the next level.

SNIPER INSTRUCTION

Tomahawk’s sniper instruction is led by some of the finest military special operational

snipers in the world, with unparalleled combat experience. We can customize a sniper

training program to fit your specific needs.

The Patrol Officer Urban Tactical Marksmen (UTM) Course of Instruction (COI),

designed by Tomahawk Strategic Solutions, aims to educate patrol officers on the

proper techniques for addressing threats in an urban environment. Officers will be

educated on the fundamentals of urban mission planning, employment, and risk

assessment through many scenario-based training exercises. The UTM COI is designed

to train officers in the core phases of urban operations, as well as provide officers with

standard operating procedures (SOPs) for mission coordination with other officers

and first responders.

EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Tomahawk provides top-of-the-line emergency medicine instruction to law

enforcement and first responders. The emergency medicine courses prepare law

enforcement officers and first responders with the skills and knowledge necessary to

save lives during and after a traumatic incident.

The Law Enforcement and First Responder Tactical Casualty Care (LEFR-TCC) course

covers several topics, ranging from the proper use of tourniquets to effective packing

of gunshot wounds. Tomahawk’s emergency medicine curriculum can be taught as

stand-alone courses or as part of a larger training program.

Our emergency medicine courses, when taught to first responders, focus on Rescue

Task Force concepts to maximize efforts and minimize the loss of life.

UNIT ASSESSMENT

Tomahawk Strategic Solutions conducts assessments of tactical teams, which include

evaluations of each team’s personnel, equipment, facilities, and practices. In order to

collect data for an assessment, Tomahawk will conduct a multitude of interviews, tour

team premises, and evaluate the unit’s inventory. Based upon extensive experience

working and training with SWAT and ESU teams worldwide, Tomahawk will synthesize

the data collected to compile any items of concern, and provide recommendations

based on best practices.

Areas of focus will include foundation, organization, leadership, training/preparation

for real word success, and tactical gear/equipment.
