A message from our Principal… Good afternoon everyone! Well, another year of NAPLAN is done and dusted. It was a well organised three days of assessment and I am looking forward to receiving the results later in the year. Thank you to our Year 3 and 5 teachers, and our support staff with their preparations for the days. As you all know, this is only one form of assessment that takes place within our fantastic school. We will continue to monitor and track each students learning closely and provide the most engaging learning sequences we can!

It was a great chance for some of our volunteers to come up for afternoon tea last week. Thank you to all those who could make it! Please know, the support all volunteers

provide our school will never be taken for granted. The impact it has on our students, staff and our whole school culture is immeasurable! THANK YOU! A heads up for all community members contacting our school office over the next week or so. Nearly 2000 public schools across the state will be tranferring their office software. I am sure our office staff will be their usual delightful selves, however, if response times slow down a little, please be understanding.

See you all soon! Brett.

PEER SUPPORT

This week our whole school began their Per Support sessions. These occur last session on a Monday and are run by Year 5 and 6 student leaders. The children this year are participating in a new module, Moving Forward which focuses on resilience. The experiences in the module help children to identify their qualities and strengths, develop skills, respond with a range of strategies and seek support when faced with challenges. You might like to discuss with your child which group they are in and the names of their leaders.
