GOURMETFRESH IS BEST BUT HOMEGROWN IS BETTERIN SEASON NOW...
Generations of gardeners can’t be wrong! The Diggers Club have championed the heirloom movement and here’s why... They have superior flavour, excellent disease-resistance and varieties that cannot be found at the supermarket. The best choice for home gardeners, they are like treasured antiques, passed from one generation to the next because of their superior flavour and long harvest. Specialising in hard to find vegetables and flowers, The Diggers Club trial and taste what you grow, so that you can savour the flavour of heirlooms enjoyed by generations of gardeners, just like you!
Varieties have been selected over generations by home gardeners.
An extended harvest, as heirlooms do not crop all at once.
Homegrown vegetables have nutrients, flavour and texture that is lost during transport and storage before reaching the supermarket.
Huge range to choose from: colours, flavours and varieties to suit all gardeners and tastebuds.
We have trialled and selected all varieties to ensure both productivity and flavour.
Offering a wide range of diverse vegetables, means that everyone can find something they like, and it’s better for biodiversity.

Rhaphiolepis (also known as Indian Hawthorn) is a great plant for function and colour. These woody shrubs are widely used as low-growing border plants. They are tough, drought-tolerant, salt-tolerant and generally low-maintenance but correct varietal selection is very important. Many Hawthorns suffer badly from leaf-spot and subsequent leaf-drop, particularly in our humid summers. Others set a lot of seed and can become invasive. There are a lot of varieties available but two
which have repeatedly shown to be resistant to leaf-spotting and do not set masses of seed include Rhaphiolepis Oriental Pearl and Rhaphiolepis Oriental Pink. Both of these Australian-bred varieties are naturally rounded in shape without the need for pruning. Although flowering mostly during spring, these plants look sensational at all times of the year due to their thick, glossy foliage and naturally tidy habit. They are also perfect for tubs or pots.
Autumn is a perfect time to plant before it starts getting too hot, giving plants time to settle in before the real heat of summer arrives. Ideally, you want plants in your garden that not only look good through the cooler months but also thrive through Australia’s hot summers.
Paradise Plants have been breeding exciting new plants for Australian gardens for more than forty years. All ‘Paradise’ branded plants are rigorously selected to ensure trouble-free gardening and are tested in REAL GARDENS, so you can feel confident that when you choose ‘Paradise’ you will be rewarded with tough, reliable, beautiful plants.
Camellias are a tough & hardy breed of plants. Camellia sasanqua are gaining popularity worldwide for their vigour, versatility and ease of growth.
