World Council for Gifted and Talented Children (Delegate), International, K-12. (August 2015–August

National Association for Gifted Children Professional Development (PD) Network Awards Chair, (November 2013–November 2016). As past-chair, at the request of the incoming chair, I assumed a new position of Awards Chair to develop a national award for exemplary PD in the field of gifted education. For three years, I led the review of incoming applications for the award.

Our new chief human resource officer, Cheryl Reardon, is identifying campus leaders who will help lead this effort. From a governance perspective, she is establishing a Talent@Iowa Governance Council to guide the transformation of the HR enterprise. The Talent@Iowa Governance Council will play a critical role in shaping how we recruit, retain and develop talent at our institution, ensuring that our workforce is ready, willing and able to meet the needs and challenges of our campus and community.
