Georgia Institute of Technology Recreation & Health Center Master Plan, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Master plan and conceptual design leading to the first phase of implementation. Georgia Institute of Technology Cherry Street/Harrison Square, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Transformation of existing vehicular access way to a primary pedestrian corridor within Georgia Tech’s Central Academic Core. Site design included reduction of impermeable surface, protection of existing campus tree canopy and compliance to Campus Landscape Design Standards. Director of Campus Design. Emory University Dowman Drive Re-alignment, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Renovation to Emory University’s historic entrance includes construction documents and observation to modification of vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow, and installation of new signature entry walls and signage. The project incorporates new city streetscape improvements and faces the future revitalized Emory Village Retail Center. Director of Campus Design. Emory University Candler School of Theology, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Redevelopment of an existing plaza, pedestrian circulation and the creation of a new garden space in coordination Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott and Collins Cooper & Carusi. A LEED certified project. Director of Campus Design. Emory University Sorority Complex, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: In coordination with Jova Daniels Busby, development of exterior common and private spaces of a new sorority complex housing over 200 students that includes ADA compliance and innovative water management methods. Project Manager. Emory University Turman Residential Improvements, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Revitalization of existing residential housing complex. Design included shuttle-service drop-off, landscape renovations, student patio and recreational spaces. Project Manager. town center. Focus is on an extension of green space within the 450 acre mixed-used development. Existing trees were preserved and low impact development was a key to the development. Storm water runoff from parking was management through the use of bio-swales and minimal curbing.

Director of Campus Design. Georgia Perimeter College Athletic Stadium Plaza, Covington, Georgia. Scope: New 5,000 sf Plaza at GPC Newton’s Baseball and Softball complex will provide opportunities for several hundred people, including a plaza to provide opportunities outside of athletic for during events. New clubhouse and concession building supported by shade trees and draught tolerant plant material.

Director of Campus Design. Georgia Perimeter College Campuses Master Plans, Covington/Decatur/Dunwoody, Georgia. Scope: Master planning efforts for the three campuses involved a fresh approach to student parking, pedestrian access and storm water management.

Director of Campus Design. West Virginia University Morgantown Biomedical and Cancer Research Center Site Development, West Virginia. Scope: Site design and documents for new research building in the Health Sciences Campus.

Director of Campus Design. Fort Valley State University, Fort Valley, Georgia. Scope: Design services for a new entry plaza include central water feature, seating areas and brick pavement that serve as the new gateway for the campuses new Student Activity Center.

SECONDARy EDUCATION

Director of Campus Design. Wesleyan School, Norcross, Georgia. Scope: Campus master plan development for future program use. Design included analysis of adjacent out parcels for purchase, site location of over 100,000 s.f. Student Academic and Athletic facilities and installation of five buildings, tennis facilities and multi-purpose athletic fields.

Director of Campus Design. The Westminster Schools Campus Master Plan, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Along with Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbot, a long-term comprehensive campus master plan for The Westminster Schools was developed. Important components included the historic campus core, the stewardship of the outstanding natural environment, resolution of circulation patterns and campus parking, and expansion of administrative and academic space.

Director of Campus Design. The Lovett School, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Campus master plan with Shepley Bulfinch Richardson & Abbot of Boston, Massachusetts. Responsible for multi-purpose athletic fields (lacrosse, baseball/softball stadium complex & multi-purpose athletic fields), open space design, river corridor compliance, pedestrian circulation, paving areas and

patterns, and exterior landscape development. The project won a citation for the landscape architecture portion from American School & University's 2004 Architectural Portfolio competition.

Director of Campus Design. The Children’s School, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Design and planning to unify disjoined buildings into a cohesive campus thereby creating unique and distinctive outdoor learning environments. Work included sustainable stormwater management as well establishing broad campus design standards incorporating critical ADA compliance.

Director of Campus Design. The Weber School, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: HGOR provided master planning services for the new 30 plus acre campus which consisted of a baseball field and soccer field. Both fields included concession stands, stadium seating included completed overall grading, site layout, landscape design, irrigation and coordination with professional sports field installation sub-contractor.

Project Manager. Atlanta Public Schools, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Streetscape, plaza and courtyard design for a 300,000 s.f. office building for Atlanta Public Schools’ facilities and financial services being built on an infill site near Atlanta City Hall.

Project Manager. Whitefield Academy, Atlanta, GA. Scope: Master plan of new campus on 50 acres for the private institution, grades 6 through 12. Continuing into first phase of campus infrastructure, roads, parking, ball fields, and multiple buildings.

INSTITUTIONAL

Director of Campus Design. J.G. Beacham WWT Plant Environmental Services Building, Athens-Clarke County, Georgia. Scope: Partnered with civil engineers, CH2M Hill, HGOR created an outdoor environment that demonstrates and educates visitors about the capture and use of stormwater. Landscape design also includes a water efficient palette of sun and drought tolerant native grasses, shrubs and trees.

Director of Campus Design. Johns Creek Environmental Campus, Fulton County, Georgia. Scope: At its northern-most wastewater treatment plant, Fulton County turned surrounding land into an educational tool for the region and surrounding neighborhood. The campus exhibits sustainable landscape solutions through the predominant use of native plant material found in the Georgia piedmont. Landscape architectural design includes innovative ways to demonstrate the native palette’s strength and beauty. Site design also includes natural filtration, Bio-Swales, of storm water runoff located at visitor parking and service yards. Roof storm systems empty into an active stream supplied from re-use water of waste water from the treatment plant.

Director of Campus Design. Winterthur Estate, Winterthur, Delaware. Scope: The Winterthur Museum and Country Estate is sited on 982 pastoral acres once owned by Henry Francis du Pont. Along with Ayers Saint Gross, HGOR provided master planning services to fulfill and enhance Mr. du Pont’s original vision for the visitor experience. A new visitor and conference centers, research and development buildings, revised touring routes and building programming to accommodate the needs of each visitor type as well as Winterthur’s future sustainability.

Director of Campus Design. Duke University Medical Center - Center for Integrative Medicine, Durham, North Carolina. Scope: LEED based landscape and hardscape design for the new Wellness Center. Innovative storm water management practices, exterior courtyard and water features.

Director of Campus Design. Boy Scouts of America Club House, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Master Planning efforts for a LEED certified building and landscape will be developed under a joint partnership with a local private school. Sited in a mature forest while overlooking a preserved green space and a historic civil war site, planning included minimized site disturbance. Features include elevated boardwalks and the installation of a cistern for storm water re-use.

Director of Campus Design. Emory University President’s House, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Hardscape design services for improvements around the historic house and grounds.

Director of Campus Design. Children’s Healthcare at Hughes Spalding, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Redevelopment of three story Children’s hospital located at Jesse Hill Jr. Drive and Coca-Cola Plaza. Landscape architectural and irrigation design services for the two streetscapes, front entry and vehicular circulation at the one block noted above. Site work to be in compliance with LEED certified implementations.

Project Manager. Center for Disease Control Building 17 Plaza, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Coordination of hardscape and landscape construction details and documentation required to achieve awarded artist’s concept.

Project Manager. Emory University Winship Cancer Institute Medical Office Building, Atlanta, Georgia. Scope: Design includes LEED based landscape and hardscape development at entry plaza courtyard and building exterior.
